A great combination of funky architecture for a fun vibe, with composting toilets that are easy for the youngsters to use (while meeting all the strict public health regulations in the childcare industry). Thats a win for the kids... and the environment!

21.01.2022 Wow check out the abundance of fruit and veg being grown by The Permaculture Pantry!! Greg Stacey and his wife Emma and their 3 kids are on 2 acres on the New South Wales mid north coast. And they reckon their 170 fruit trees are thriving thanks in part to a Water Wally greywater reuse package - all their shower and basin water is now irrigating thirsty trees! We use it every day - it works well, is easy to clean, and hasnt failed. Weve had drought and we would have lost s...ome of our fruit trees without it, says Greg. Our family use about 10,000 litres a month and nearly all of that is reused as greywater. Its a great feeling to utilise the water instead of sending it to the septic tank! 20.01.2022 Check out this snazzy compost loo and shower set up at Redleaf Farm in the NSW Southern Highlands! Katrina runs the farm and farmstay, and ordered a Green Loo GT120 from Water Wally to be green and sustainable. She’s also used creek water to plumb the sink, and used recycled materials to make the set-up as funky as possible! I’ve used 100-year-old reclaimed hardwood timbers and rusted iron outside. The door is from an 1890 train carriage with custom frosted logo on the ...glass. Interior has antiqued mirrors, marble floors, pressed tin ceiling and a chandelier. Basin is river stone on an up-cycled old singer sewing machine base. Bit hard to photograph with all the antiqued mirror, but you get the idea. It’s a surprise inside! she says. It sure is Katrina! 19.01.2022 Some great green news! Campers in Margaret River have been loving the compost loo and grey water showers at permaculture property Fair Harvest. Many say theyre blown away by the fact theres no smell, and that waste is being composted and used to fertilise and grow the amazing produce Fair Harvest is famous for! The response that I've had has been incredibly positive. Campers say it's clean, it doesn't smell at all, says Jodie Lane from Fair Harvest. He lives more than an hour away but heads to his holiday shack at Port Albert, Victoria whenever possible. From there, the water trickles through the (almost) horizontal pipe and runs out of holes drilled along the length of the pipe to irrigate the garden bed. Simple and clever!
