25.01.2022 Fantastic news for those who love the stunning Waterwheel Gallery in Bedfordale. Particularly those who discovered its beauty for the first time during the Armadale Hills Open Studio Art Trail and of course for those of you that sadly missed out on seeing the artists at work during the Trail week... The artists have decided to extend their time there, demonstrating their craft and works to the public this coming Saturday and Sunday, 10-4pm. Jeanette Dyson (mixed media and na...tural ochres) Julie Fearns-Pheasant (mixed media/objects/painting/drawing/prints) and Sharon Mackay (ceramicist) will be there to discuss and show their work and methods. 19.01.2022 Introducing the young and gorgeous Karrina Cain (we know her as the totally awesome Rina) who is another regular artist at the Waterwheel who you will meet this weekend. Send her some love as it’s her birthday today. Rina sketches tirelessly in her sketchbook working on character designs for her contemporary digital illustrations. She is currently assisting Mrs Fez with her Leo class teaching young things all about graphic pads and digital layers. They are sooo lucky. ... Rina will have prints, stickers and buttons for sale this weekend. Pop in and say hi. This Saturday is the big event for the Waterwheel Gallery located in beautiful Bedfordale. From 2 pm to 8 pm we have a Twilight festive event complete with six participating Artists. Not only that, but the awesomely talented group Skelton will be playing from 4:30pm onwards. There will be food fare to purchase, including sliders, festive mini cakes and wine, tea and coffee. The gallery will also be open on Sunday 10am-4pm. 18.01.2022 Good day to you all. Isn't it wonderful how people are getting to know our gorgeous gallery again? The artists were so pleased to meet you all at the art trail last month, thank you. As a matter of fact, so much so, that we have A drumroll announcement:... Due to the awesomeness of how everyone loved meeting them, the artists (Jeanette Dyson, Sharon Mackay and Julie Fearns-Pheasant) have decided to become our first resident artists. And occasionally, particularly on Thursdays, you may see a few others doing the creative thing within our walls during business hours. We are trialling until further notice the following dates and times (strictly) for opening to the public: Each Thursday 10am-4pm October 17th, 18th 10am -4pm November Christmas Twilight 14th, 2pm-8pm 15th 10am-4pm December 12th, 13th 10am-4pm January 16th, 17th 10am -4pm February 13th,14th 10am -4pm March 13th,14th 10am -4pm April 17th, 18th 10am -4pm Outside of these hours are strictly by appointment only, thank you for your understanding. Local family band that just brings joy and gorgeousness to all who listen have agreed to be our entertainment at the Twilight Art Event at the Waterwheel Gallery on the 14th November 2020 A little bird has told me 7 artists will be there to show and talk about their work. Should be fantastic. What an event. The twilight happening opens at two for art sales and music starts at 4.30. Food is available for purchase. ... Watch this space for more updates of the event.



16.01.2022 The Twilight Event was a resounding success. Skelton had the house rocking with fabulous music. People came in out of the rain and attendance was steady with happy, busy voices. Again we had exclamations of the beauty of our superb gallery and the participating artists diverse works. Pictured is a lovely regular Jillian Betts with her purchase of a Corbeau Muse hand-painted jacket by Julie Fearns-Pheasant. She looks mighty fine, and was happy to model her wearable art with a little spin. Pop in today 10-4pm to meet and greet the artists. Still available are some meat, gravy and coleslaw buns for purchase. Coffee and tea.

15.01.2022 Well, it’s the Eve of the big Twilight Event in our beautiful gallery and we have two final artists to showcase to you. We call them the two Js. Jeanette and Julie. Jeanette Dyson and Julie Fearns Pheasant (Corbeau Art Space)... Jeanette has new work to show you all, particularly some stunning prints of her beautiful renditions of the Australian landscape. Working in natural ochres, gold and pearl dust together with acrylics, Jeanette has a true following and her process is really interesting. Julie is the artist who is well known for her Sneasel Sneakers, her works on gutta, painting, scarves and prints on homewares. She is launching a new line of exclusive recycled denim jackets called ‘Corbeau Muse’. Each jacket is hand painted with high-quality fabric paint and is never repeated not even twice, similar to the shoes. She will be working on jackets on the weekend. Doors open at 2pm. Don’t forget the fabulous Skelton band will be playing from 4.30 pm tomorrow evening. There will be food coffee and tea available for purchase and you can BYO drink if you wish. We open again on the Sunday from 10 to 4. It’s going to be an absolutely wonderful event with some fabulous art pieces for you to see and to buy. All local.

13.01.2022 Don’t forget the superbly talented ceramics artist Sharon Mackay is at the Waterwheel Gallery behind her pottery wheel demonstrating her craft this Thursday to Sunday. 10am-4pm Pop in and meet all our artists. It’s going to be a lovely weekend. Soup and bread, tea and coffee available for purchase.

He is not too keen on the spotlight so his delicate and detailed drawings speak for themselves. I’d say he is the gent of many faces. 11.01.2022 The Waterwheel Gallery has been been busy planning then celebrating the wonderful wedding of Cheryl and Michael in superb style style. Congratulations you two. We now move into the next open weekend of the gallery. opening this Saturday and Sunday from 10-4pm. There will be lots to see in this superb beautiful space and consider for gifts for loved ones. Aggie a talented textile artist uses natural plant dyes, does Eco printing on fabric ( silk , wool, cotton) and also on some paper. Aggie will have some silk scarves, shawls and also t-shirts available, all of them are chemically free processed. Truly worth meeting this lovely lady. Sharon with her ceramic wheel and her beautiful pottery. Jeanette demonstrating working with ochres, acrylics and mixed media. Julie will be working on a pot, a pair of Sneazels or maybe a jacket (who is to know with that one, she’ll be painting on something anyway) and our young Rina is to be surely sketching cha...racter designs ready for her next digital illustration. 05.01.2022 Hi Everyone I’m one of the group of artists who work and exhibit at this stunning gallery.I feel incredibly lucky. Just in case you weren't aware, the Waaterwheel Gallery is only open once a month at this stage after reopening a few months ago. It is truly worth seeing.The owner handbuilt it 35 years ago using repurposed materials.... The gallery in itself is just worth coming to see, its so beautiful and unique. This weekend we are open again each day from 10-4. And again on the 18th. Jeanette Dyson works with ochres, pearl dust and acrylics, Sharon Mackay in ceramics and I do upcycled sneakers, jackets, gutta on paper, illustration and multi-media. Aggie Textile arts pieces are to sigh at as they are all created using natural materials. Our lovely Rina who is still a young thing has created a business of her own selling buttons and stickers and prints of her contemporary illustrations and characters. Gooo Rina! We also have other works on the floor that have been in the collection since it’s beginning. Some artists are Brian Simonds, Clifton Pugh, John Bains and Pro Hart. Pop in.
