15.01.2022 It's the clubs annual Fish-a-Fest weekend in Pemberton and club member Steve landed this nice 36cm Rainbow from Thompson's Flats.

14.01.2022 Dont forget Troutfest is on this Saturday at Drakesbrook Weir. Come down and visit our tent. Well have Fly tying demonstrations, Fly casting tuition, lure and soft plastic instruction and the guys are all happy to discuss all things freshwater fishing. There will also be info on joining the club.

14.01.2022 Spent the weekend in Pemberton chasing Trout and Redfin. Saturday morning I caught a nice Brown of 38cm and 500g, but unfortunately due to operator error, my GoPro only recorded for 10 seconds.... so, no footage of the take, the spectacular leap from the water, the fight, netting and measuring the fish... Nothing.... so annoyed. My fishing buddy Tony landed 2 Browns, one at 35cm (pictured) and the other at 45cm... unfortunately Tony also had an operator error and accidentally... switched his phone to selfie mode while taking the photo of the bigger trout. We spent the next few hours exploring and looking for new water to fish, checking out a few spots on the lower end of Wilgarrup brook and the Upper Warren, but found no fish. Fished the Cascades later in the afternoon also for no result. Sunday we fished a couple of private dams on the way out of Pemberton and landed 14 Redfin between us. Overall it was a pretty good weekend and its not all about the fish.... sometimes its just nice to be outdoors in the fresh air and just recharge the batteries. See more

07.01.2022 They don't always have to be big the small ones are just as much fun

07.01.2022 As summer approaches keep in mind good catch and release practices. Particularly in our streams there is a low number of resident fish. Do your best to look after the fish you catch. Starting by keeping them in the water as much as possible while you unhook etc.
