23.01.2022 Hey guys, hope everyone is fairing well. I know everyone is waiting for the bar to reopen, but we still don't have the all clear to do so yet. However, we are going to do a trial run with the dining room tomorrow, Thursday, night. BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL!!!... We are only allowed to have 20 people in the tavern at a time, 12 will be able to sit in the dining room at any one time, in allocated seats. There will be no service at the bar, only at your table. The purchase of alcohol can only be made AFTER you have ordered your meal, which is only allowed to be a proper sit down meal, that has to be eaten with a knife and fork. (I know, it's complicated) There will be more information to be provided soon.

16.01.2022 As many of you are already aware Shane, Taryn and Jacky have packed and are moving on. Their decision to end their lease and leave the community has not been an easy one and we commend the work that they have done, especially in the last 6 months through some very difficult and trying times. The Watheroo Community Cooperative Ltd, have been actively looking for a suitable party interested in purchasing the sublease, but due to the current market we have not found anyone suita...ble. We have transferred the Liquor Licence and CPA licence with Australia Post into our name and we will endeavour to carry on the business of operating the tavern, accommodation and post office with the same enthusiasm as Shane, Taryn and Jacky. We will be employing a Manager to oversee the running of the business, as well as other staff to assist them in their role as required. Andrea has offered to stay on in her role so we will continue to see her friendly face, Friday to Sunday. Lauren Ellis will work on our behalf to manage the post office for limited hours commencing Wednesday 1 July. She will open between 8.30am to 10.30am to assist you with your mail. Shane, Taryn and Jacky along with their extended families have done an amazing job re invigorating the Watheroo Station Tavern since they began their tenancy in August 2016. It is fantastic to see the accommodation being booked out to capacity and to enter the tavern and enjoy a drink in a clean and friendly environment. Friday night’s have become a popular time to catch up with friends to discuss the week’s events and generally enjoy the comradeship of the community. We wish to thank Shane, Taryn and Jacky for the tireless effort that they have put into ensuring that we the community have a great place to go to catch up with each other. You have fitted into the community and you feel like you have all been around forever. We will miss catching up with you, especially Shane’s constant banter at the bar. We will also miss seeing Graeme and Rhonda, out and about helping with the running of the tavern constantly throughout the last nearly 4 years. We wish you all the very best in your future endeavours and look forward to seeing you all back in sunny Watheroo on the drinking side of the bar for a catch up. 15.01.2022 We are open as normal this Easter weekend, from 10am to 1pm then open again from 5pm to 8pm. No newspapers or post came today as its good Friday. And the milk Finally came on Thursday, so we now have milk again

13.01.2022 Hi everyone, we are on our way back from Perth now, and we will be opening the bar at 4pm today. Social distancing rules still apply, you cannot drink at the bar, you must be seated, but you are now not required to purchase a meal to drink. Thank you, and hope to see you tonight, and please help us to make thses rules work

11.01.2022 WOOHOO!! As of Saturday, we can trade as normal. That means you can stand and drink at the bar, and go about meeting up with friends and family as you would normally at the pub. Let's celebrate this momentous occasion with a big HOORAH

07.01.2022 WA takeaway liquor restrictions have been lifted as of 4 hours ago, but be warned, we will have limited supplies until tomorrow evening.

06.01.2022 So it is nearly time for us to leave. We will be shutting down Tuesday the 30th of June for a handover stocktake. The Post Office will be open for parcel collection and newspapers. However, nothing else will be able to be bought for the whole day and night. Thank you for understanding.
