23.01.2022 We are delighted to celebrate the 1st Kathina Ceremony, which will be held on the 4th October 2020 at Wat Samphanthawong Geelong. However due to Covid-19 restrictions, all lay devotees are invited to attend the FACEBOOK LIVE activities at 1PM, which involved Kathina Ceremony and listen to Dhamma Talk. We must observe all guidances and restrictions issued with regards to COVID-19 by the relevant health authorities and governing bodies in Australia. It has been a precious year ...to have the members of Sangha lead by venerable Chao Khun Keng to spend their vassa here in Wat Samphanthawong Geelong as monks and many lay buddhists have been greatly benefited from his teaching. We are very grateful with the great teachings and guidances given by venerable Chao Khun Keng. We sincerely rejoice the members of Sangha for the effort and their practice during this rain retreat. 03.01.2022 Covid-19 Updates We continue to navigate through the unprecedented challenges and response to Coronavirus (COVID-19) with precautionary hygiene measures which have already implemented. What we emphasise and do? 1. Condition of entry masks must be worn at all times in the monastery.... 2. Remind physical distance of 1.5M and hand washing. 3. Additional cleaning with a particular focus on high traffic areas, bathrooms and frequently touched surfaces. 4. Hand sanitiser stations available throughout the monastery. 5. Updates and information regarding the monastery are shared on our social channels. See more
