19.01.2022 What a great opening we had last Friday night. Judy Lawler our featured artist spoke about her art journey to an enthusiastic crowd. Many new faces and friends ready to socialise after a long isolation. The wine was flowing and there was plenty of noisy conversations. We had a gazebo with heater for the overflow, luckily it was a very mild evening so we didnt freeze. So good to see everyone enjoying themselves. The gallery looked terrific after days of preparing after the long closure. Photos by @CeciliaJackson art and photography

05.01.2022 These gorgeous dogs were at the gallery today on their way back from a dog show in Moruya, so well behaved.

Nina’s work will be on display until the end of September and is a lovely addition to the gallery which is looking especially good at the moment. Many people were venturing out for the first time and enjoyed the company and change of scenery, the mood was merry.

05.01.2022 Yesterday 24th march we closed the gallery. We would like like to thank all of our loyal followers and customers for their support this year since the fires of NYE and now this terrible virus. We will reopen after some maintenance and advice when it is safe to do so. This was a sad day for us as the gallery has been open for 20 years.

The new exhibition of paintings and sculpture with the same theme is now on display until the end of October. Several paintings have already been sold from this special exhibition. 02.01.2022 Maggie Brennan is the featured at The Gallery for the next two months. All these works are in acrylic on canvas and show before and after views since the bushfires. This view is from Maggies house overlooking the dam and the beautiful paperbark also no longer there. These images are a way of coping after the devastation.

02.01.2022 THE GALLERY MOGO REOPENS The Gallery Mogo is coming back to life after the Covid lockdown. Judy Lawler will be the first artist to be showcased at The Gallery with its reopening scheduled for Friday 19th June at 5pm. Judy has been painting with her signature style for the past 30 years, and followers of her work wont be disappointed with the new work that will be on display. Judys expertise with the pallet knife is well known locally and her paintings have been sold to man...y collectors out of our Shire. Unlike most artists, Judy doesnt use a brush for her work, preferring a palette knife to lay down the buttery , thick, paint on the canvasses. Using only six colours, Judy mixes all the shades she needs to complete her knife paintings. Judy is inspired by her environment and is never without a subject living in the beautiful coastal landscape of Batemans Bay. Her realist paintings reflect the images of the Coast and the events that shape life on the coast. The bushfires, their destruction and the rebirth of the country are some of the themes she has explored in the exhibition, which will run for 2 months at Mogo
