24.01.2022 Tonight is our Wattles JRL AGM. It is being held at our long term sponsors establishment the Railway Hotel Allora. Please come along. Wattles will be desperate for a new canteen conveyor...after 9 years my wife Kellie has decided to hang up the apron and pass on this role to someone else. ... Our canteen is arguably the best canteen in the WDJRL and it is our main income source, it keeps our sign on fees very affordable. With Kellie stepping down tonight she has guaranteed to help the new person find their feet in the canteen. We generally have 6 to 8 home games per year and she has kept meticulous records of what sells and doesn’t sell, what sort of stock turnover we go through for various clubs that visit , you will get a lot of information to help you . The canteen conveyor position does come with a small honorarium which is generally decided on at the AGM So please, give something back to your club, put your hand up and volunteer your time, it is rewarding!

24.01.2022 This has just been released. It breaks my heart but rest assured the Zone 5 community will work hard to make sure our carnivals go ahead.

09.01.2022 DECISION TO CANCEL 2020 SEASON Warwick & District Junior Rugby League committee and clubs met this evening to discuss the options, queries and concerns surround...ing the future of the 2020 season. A vote was conducted with all Clubs and WDJRL executive committee as to whether the season should go ahead with the following outcome: Yes 4 votes No 7 votes Main concerns from Clubs surrounded lack of volunteers, inability to host all teams and government restrictions as per the QRL Return to Play Handbook.
