13.01.2022 Welcome back Wauchope parkrunners! How awesome to see all the familiar faces once more. Thank you for checking in and keeping your distance. A HUGE thank you to the volunteer team coping with the simple but vital changes that enabled us to return. 08.01.2022 Friday evening is normally a time for the run director to pack the car, charge the batteries and print off the volly roster. Good Fridays would be even better because we would be preparing our Easter dress ups. We hope everyone saw the sunset tonight dressing up Bago with a golden tutu and the sky with a brilliant double rainbow. Here are a couple of photos from last year's Easter parkrun. Post us your pics of what you get up to this Easter, whether it is a solo run or walk or an egg hunt. We miss your smiling faces.

06.01.2022 Well our 4th Anniversary might of slipped by during Covid-19, but this didn’t stop some of the core event volunteers and run directors paying respect to our great course and community event. The (not)parkrun can be enjoyed by anyone at anytime and is encouraged. You can go into your parkrun profiles and manually enter your time as well. It’s great to see people hitting the course in their own time and logging times. ... Happy 4th Anniversary Wauchope. There’s no news at this stage as to when we will be back, soon we hope . Stay safe and help stop the spread.

06.01.2022 As we all navigate our way through the fog, remember that Wauchope parkrun will one day be back. So many new runners came this summer, there were plenty of improvements and heaps of new friendships. Make sure you keep yourself fit during this time. Try surfing the net (youtube) for running strength exercises you can do from home. Look at getting in a solo walk or jog for 30 minutes around your neighbourhood. Post your favourite parkrun photo in the comments . 02.01.2022 Tomorrow we would have been celebrating our 4th anniversary. It has been strange these last few months to not be getting up to meet our Wauchope parkrun family on Saturday morning. We would, of course, have dressed up for this occasion and there would be plenty of refreshments, both healthy and sinful. There would be also be people to acknowledge: John Lawrie and Kevin Chilvers who had the vision of starting up parkrun in our town; Port Macquarie Hastings Council for givi...ng us such a beautiful site to use; Bundaleer for providing us the funds for the equipment; and all our volunteers. Especially our core volunteer group who live and breathe Wauchope parkrun; those who are Run Directors and those who are first ones there and last to leave, who whisper in my ear, "if you're ever short, just ask". Why not meet a mate for a run or walk tomorrow for a in honour of our big day. If you want to dress that's up to you HAPPY BIRTHDAY Wauchope parkrun. See more
