08.01.2022 **FESTIVAL UPDATE** We hope that you are all keeping safe during this time. We are letting you all know that due to the current circumstances we will be postponing WA Unlocked Film Festival until later in the year. ... We are still currently in the process of judging all of the submissions for this year and hope to notify successful entries by the end of June 2020. Which on that note, we want to mention that we are very impressed with the entries this year and what has come out of WA made content - we are excited for this years event and there will definitely be just as many category winners as previous years! 02.01.2022 Hi all. Firstly, we want to say a big thank you for your patience regarding the judging for WA Unlocked Film Festival. Obviously 2020 has forced a few changes on the way things are done and we have had to consider our next step carefully to make sure the festival goes ahead but in a safe and viable way. But, the judging is done, the results are in and the trophies are made. This year we will be doing things a little differently, with a live stream of the 8 finalists on Yout...ube as a one off event, screened at 7pm on the 13th of August. This format, and the way it is managed, does not contravene rules concerning online exclusivity for further festival entry and this was an important matter for us when making this decision. We are also excited because it means for the first time we will be able to showcase WAs talent to the whole world. So we hope that you will be available to join us and our eight Finalists on our Live Streamed Event on Thursday the 13th of August. If you have any questions, please dont hesitate to get in touch.
