19.01.2022 WAVENZL International is proud to announce a cooperation agreement with McConaghy Boats to develop, produce in series and support through its network of branches, representatives and associates the AEROHYDROTECH designed range of hydrofoils for the Formula Kite Foil sailing category will be featured for the first time in history in a mixed event in the waters of Marseille, France, and also in all regional, national, international and Pre-Olympic events on the entire Olympic c...ycle leading to the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games. This cooperation will combine the skills, technical infrastructure, resources and reputation of McConaghy Boats, who are an indisputable leader in the marine industry. Their past and present projects range from One Designs, to America’s Cup challengers, Superyachts, Cruising and Racing Maxis. Adding this partner to our leading edge design concepts and having these crafted in high modulus pre-preg carbon fibre, cured in autoclaves and fitted with extreme precision, custom built titanium components will ensure the lightest and stiffest equipment available to all riders worldwide from January 2020 via our online retail arm DOTxtreme WaterSports. We are pleased to announce the expansion of our operation with the addition of a new branch to distribute, support, develop and advice from Palma de Mallorca, Spain to the South of Europe and Mediterranean areas of Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Croatia & Greece. The branch main role & focus will be developing new business, set-up dealers, representatives and serve as a hub for retail, distribution, logistics, servicing plus host teams of international riders to collaborate on research and development of products through all existing and future projects. Come take a lap on the wild ride, we are lining up some pretty exciting testing clinic events where you will try test, re-test, compare and measure with the aid of highly accurate tools and instruments everything from speed, vmg, pitching, optimum heeling, tacking and jibing angles, acceleration, best mark rounding techniques and a ton of technical tips on how to constantly tune-up your foil, kites and board options to start featuring on the first pack at your local, amateur, international and pro circuit. . From Tenerife to New Caledonia passing by Tarifa, Saint Martin, Capetown, Mauritius and Australia we plan to arrange unmatched and unforgettable week long gigs where you will line up with international coaches, top riders and learn quick how to bypass the dragsters and reach to the challenge of mastering Kitefoil racing and especially be one of the first to have a first peak at the SPEEDSTER range of foils especially crafted for these events. . This is also a unique opportunity to maybe bring home one of the most sophisticated hydrofoils ever crafted in facilities purpose built to produce America’s Cup hydrofoils, appendages and high end foiling one designs using Formula 1 compliant technology including autoclave cure, load path custom laid flat tow thin ply high modulus carbon fibre layers compressed in an autoclave vacuum chamber at 130 degrees under pressures as high as 10 bar. .
