09.01.2022 WAVE HILL STATION SEEKING STATION HANDS AND A BORE RUNNER Availability is for a couple station hands and 1 bore runner position to continue out the year here in the team. ... STATION HAND- The positions’ duties will involve all aspects of station work including mustering, branding, drafting, cattle education, fencing, lick supplementation as well as other general station responsibilities. Mustering is carried out with a combination of 2-wheel motorbikes and horses. There are times throughout the year where we will be camped out. We do work for lengths of time, which is followed by breaks to see throughout the Northern Territory and Western Australia, as well as being able to get away to a few rodeos and campdrafts. The successful applicants will be enthusiastic, motivated individuals who take pride in their work and who are interested in long term involvement in the agricultural industry. Previous experience working livestock would be advantageous. BORE RUNNER- Looking for a responsible, self-motivated individual who has both good attention to detail and is very observant. The duties roles include; carrying out daily water runs, servicing and maintenance of Kubota motors, observancy of cattle movements, as well as other general station duties. Experience in this role along with a mechanical mind/knowledge would be advantageous however can be taught for the right individual. Applicants must be of a clean and tidy nature and will be required to work well in a team environment and by themselves. A willingness to learn and good communication skills are a must. Single air-conditioned accommodation and meals are provided. Telstra mobile coverage at homestead. Pay is based on experience. No dogs thank you.
