25.01.2022 TOP GORGE BACK CHANNEL SITE overlooks the Back Channel and the dramatic narrowing of the river, which is the beginning of the gorge itself. It is approximately 200 metres above the Caves Falls and about 1.5kms down river from the junction of the Mann and Clarence Rivers. This area is renowned as one of the best Bass fishing spots in NSW and has the added advantage of being isolated from river traffic and other anglers.... It is easy to launch a kayak and paddle upriver to the junction of the Clarence and Mann rivers. There is spectacular scenery and some great waterholes to fish along the way.
