22.01.2022 In case you missed the post yesterday, WDTA competition will resume this weekend. For the weekend competitions, any rounds during lockdown have been considered a draw with points shared. The competition will continue as is, per the fixture pre-lockdown. Finals arrangements for both the mid-week men's and night competitions shall be confirmed to all clubs now we have been advised tennis competition can resume.... Waverley Tennis reminds all clubs that the Victorian Government QR Code must now be used. People, please all check in upon your arrival. Happy hitting

13.01.2022 The latest restrictions for community tennis in Metropolitan Melbourne from 11:59pm Thursday June 10 are as follows: - Training/coaching can resume for all ages subject to the density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm - 25km limit applies to those attending a tennis venue (unless for work purposes) - Venue capacity limit of 100 people... - Maximum group sizes of 10 - Competitions and tournaments are not permitted - Clubhouses are only to be accessed for toilets or equipment. - Get in, train, get out - All indoor tennis centres are to remain closed. Face coverings must be carried at all times. They must be worn indoors except if a medical exception applies. Face coverings must be worn outdoors where 1.5m physical distancing cannot be maintained. 11.01.2022 Weekend Competition Update It is VITAL everyone checks their fixtures again prior to playing this weekend. There have been many changes to fixtures with teams withdrawing so you may now have a bye, or playing instead of a bye or even in a different section. Good luck and happy hitting!

06.01.2022 WDTA COMPETITION TENNIS IS BACK ON!! From midnight tonight, the latest restrictions relating to community tennis in Metropolitan Melbourne are as follows: - Competitions, tournaments, and training is permitted for all ages. Limited to the minimum number of people required to participate in and facilitate the activity (players, coaches, and parent/guardian for supervision purposes). - Clubhouses can open subject to a density quotient of 1 person per 4sqm.... - Maximum group coaching sizes of 20 outdoors, 10 indoors. - There are no travel restrictions within Victoria. - Face coverings are to be carried at all times and worn indoors except if a medical exception applies. They can be removed when participating. - Spectators are not allowed (excludes people necessary to facilitate the activity such as coaches, trainers, umpires, carers, parents and guardians).
