16.01.2022 COVID UPDATE - PLEASE READ In response to this new Covid case announced in Victoria 3 February 2021, the Victorian Government has announced that masks will be made mandatory in all indoor settings across the state effective midnight 3 February 2021 until further advised by the Victorian Government. ‘Based on the Governments announcements on Wednesday 03 February, masks are now mandatory when inside any building at Waverley. The definition of a building applicable to WSA i...s the following: Anywhere inside the pavilion, including the bathrooms located to the back of the structure The bathrooms external to the pavilion opposite D2 / D9 The umpires room Store and equipment rooms The control room It is imperative that social distancing is maintained at all times, (1.5M distance between individuals) and that the provided sanitiser is used regularly. Club officials are responsible for ensuring social distancing is maintained during matches, primarily providing advice and direction to team members re distancing and best practice behaviour in the confined bench/dug out space. The appropriate markings are still evident on benches which will assist peoples understanding of the requirement Thanks, WSA

06.01.2022 WSA SENIOR COMPETITION UPDATE Waverley Softball Association wishes to advise that due to ground access for senior contact competitive sport we will be unable to commence our season on 28/11/2020 as originally planned. We understand this may be frustrating, however we know that the week delay will put us in a good position to start the season safely for all involved... Our new start date is 5/12/2020. This is for senior competition at WSA only not for SEMR. Please pass this information onto your senior players and your umpire groups. Thank you for your patience and we will see you at the ballpark in a few weeks
