20.01.2022 Just a quick video at their arrival. Within minutes there were around 30 roos flocked around the trailer nibbling on the hay bales

19.01.2022 A huge thank you to Island Care & Catherine Kewley for the donation of fruit & vegetables. The wild kangaroos are just so happy. With the recent & ongoing fires they are looking for any food, but they love fruit & veg.

18.01.2022 Two good news events here yesterday. One of the emus from Pauls Place was burned in the fire that took our home. But after 3 weeks of treatment it is now standing well & moving around better. Sunny is giving it a cuddle if encouragement. And we found something salvageable from the fire. The little strawberry plant that looked dead 3 weeks ago has brought itself back to life. We’ve never had a strawberry from it, but we love it just the same. Note to self, I think a new pot is in order.

16.01.2022 Thank you Kangaroo Island Ocean Safari Our friends, (right at the front), loved the tall ships and the whale right next to the boat.

16.01.2022 We got a delivery late yesterday of fruit & veggies, some straw & birdseed. It didn’t take long for the kangas to sniff it out.. the usual residents are quite relaxed, the Wild roos are not so comfortable around humans, but are slowly getting used to feed being available. The usual crew is around 70, last count just 3 weeks after the first fire front hit is closer to 150. And maybe as many as 200 by now. Thanks to those that donated. Thanks to the delivery people John & Michelle. And thank you for helping these displaced, innocent, confused animals.

15.01.2022 Thanks to all the wonderful people that have helped. This is the latest update from Kai & Tamara Linke on the Go Fund Me that they set up to help rebuild Pauls Place Wildlife Sanctuary. This is only for the animal enclosures etc. Our insurance is only for our house & farm. The sanctuary wasn't insured. Our eldest daughter Poppy Stanton has made a thank you video on our behalf. Please watch it & share our devastation, and our determination. With the COVID-19 danger we are self isolating, only leaving to care for our animals and buy necessities. We have turned away most volunteers until we feel it is safe once again. The few we allow in are very conscious of social distancing rules. Thank you all again so very much.
