21.01.2022 Wavetrain Cinemas wins best cinema in Australia again!!!!! The project 'Oracle Cinema' has been awarded CEDIA’s Best Home Cinema Level III Asia Pacific. A big congratulations to McCormick Concepts for installing this award winning project. Wavetrain were engaged to do the Acoustic Engineering, cinema design (including air-conditioning design, interior design, equipment specification, sound isolation). We also designed the exterior space including a funky bar design and AV equipment area. But that's not all! Wavetrain also won as a consultant providing video calibration services to The Digital Picture Projects. These projects won best home cinema Level II for 'Electric Dreams' and Best Media room Level I for 'the bunker'. So a massive congratulations to the The Digital Picture for this accomplishment.

Developed by David Moseley (Managing Director), Elementi Audio seeks to take on the best the world has to offer. Elementi is a digital active speaker system designed specifically for custom Home Cinema use. Elementi Audio will have its ‘Fire’, ‘Earth’ & ‘Water’ ranges distributed by Cogworks in Australia and at the brand... launch this week, we invited some of Australia’s top dealers and award-winning cinema designers to attend. 16.01.2022 Air-conditioning is an essential part of a well-engineered home theatre. Cinemas are generally rooms without windows that are sealed to prevent sound leakage, so they become pressurised spaces with hot equipment, which receive no fresh air. To prevent our cinemas from becoming stale and mouldy, we custom engineer, manufacture and install air-conditioning and ventilation systems which never compromise the sound quality of the room. #airconditioning #mechanicalengineering #hometheatre #homecinemadesign

16.01.2022 Wavetrain Throwback: ‘The Lord Of The Rings’ is the first cinema we ever installed back in 2005 and won ‘most Innovative Installation’ in the Cedia Awards. This project has been renovated a few times and is currently being upgraded again!. 13.01.2022 Introducing "the nouveau" The clients initial brief was Art Deco and they had already selected the dining table and the lounge chair. The rest of the home however was not in this particular style so we came up with a design that the stylized pieces could work in rather than being true Art Deco. This design draws from the work of Frank Lloyd Wright and is eclectic of the Art Deco and Nouveau periods. #hometheatre #homecinemadesign #interiordesign #design

06.01.2022 Our latest addition to the Wavetrain Cinema portfolio is 'Project Tiffany'. This cinema is an elegant design that consists of undulating and dynamic shapes that transport you into another world. This Ornamental cinema draws heavily from Art Nouveau and Art Deco, which can be seen in various elements of the room such as the ceiling detail, led light columns, and costumed carpet design. In researching the project we discovered this Tiffany light fitting, which we fell in love ...with. This fitting informed the entire ceiling design where we utilized the sunray pattern to focus the eye on and accentuate the Tiffany fitting. Contrary to popular belief the Tiffany lamp although mostly associated with Art Deco, is considered part of the Art Nouveau movement, as the first Tiffany lamp was created in 1893. Since the release of the Gatsby cinema, we have had a lot of clients request a room that has Art Nouveau and Art Deco design elements. This project is the third cinema we have released this year which is inspired by the Gatsby cinema. See more
