16.01.2022 An historic day in the NSW Coroners Court , Lismore, as State Coroner Teresa O’Sullivan suspends the Inquest into the death in custody of Dwayne Johnstone to re...fer a known person to the DPP. Due to Covid restrictions, our small group of supporters for the family , Donna Bartlett, Lanz Priestley, Greg O’Shea and myself have been unable to access the courtroom. We eagerly awaited this morning for a positive outcome, at around 11am a family member gave us the thumbs up outside the window . There was cheering and tears of joy , It has been an honour to be involved with the family. Dwayne’s mum Kerry said to the awaiting media , outside the courthouse: "It's wonderful, His death wasn't in vain and it's just a step forward for everybody in custody, black, white or whatever.
