25.01.2022 During Stage 2 we couldn't take 20 folks in a bus for 8 days, so we asked them to walk instead! So we're now in the low-cost, trekkin'-transfer business.

23.01.2022 Bruce Elder's Aussie Towns is a fabulous resource. Tenterfield will be the final night stop on our new 9 day road trip from Adelaide to Byron Bay. Other nights are at Melrose, Broken Hill x 2, White Cliffs, Bourke, Lightning Ridge, and Moree. Lots of time for the sights and to learn about First Nations heritage. Start date for Wayward Bus 2020 is pushing back to 1st September due to the border uncertainties. We'll be arranging some more Queensland offerings in August while we wait. Stay tuned...

23.01.2022 Haymarket to Hastings Street in 6 days. But Nov-Dec plans are postponed. Looking to a mid Jan start.

21.01.2022 Kerry, Ann, Murray and Pam launched (breakfasted actually) a new cafe in Esk on our 8 day Wayward Bus / Arcadia Travel trek up the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail.

21.01.2022 Wayward Bus is the new way from Noosa to Sydney. Enjoy a lazy coast crawl - or lace the boots and trek up to 90km of beaches and headlands. Stay budget in neat YHAs - or bump up to boutique beds. #coastwalk #yha #roadtrip #savvytraveller

21.01.2022 Yesterday morning Wayward Bus 2020 commenced operations. In two days our group of 20 have travelled 45km - walking. Six days and 116km still ahead! This trek will become a regular offering in the cooler months May-Sep.

19.01.2022 Big plans afoot in Tenterfield for MTB and hiking trails - the iconic town is the last overnight on our Wayward Bus 2020 Adelaide to Noosa 9 day road trip! https://www.tenterfieldstar.com.au//first-step-towards-be/

18.01.2022 Chilling on the verandah of historic @BellevueHomesteadCoominya. Wayward Bus 2020 kicked off yesterday with 20 participants for an 8 day 161km trek up the #BrisbaneValleyRailTrail. Greg and Carmel are the lucky ones staying in the Prince of Wales Room, prepared for the visit of the future King Edward in late July or early August 1920. Most of us are camping. We will make this a regular event. Looking forward to a hot breakfast in the dining room!

18.01.2022 Itineraries are published. Now we turn to the promotion!

18.01.2022 Let's ride Sydney to Brisbane, circa 1950, on the Pioneer Flxible Clipper coach... Fab find Les!

18.01.2022 More dates to trek the BVRT...

18.01.2022 We're looking forward to visiting Budj Bim and learning about all this. Day 3 on the 6 day Melbourne to Adelaide trip.

17.01.2022 We're in on this while we wait for interstate travel to open up!

14.01.2022 Beyond the Great Ocean Road, the South West quarter of Victoria is wonderful country and we look forward to touring there again. Great to read about this initiative to restore flood plains in the Glenelg River system. https://www.abc.net.au//walker-swamp-blue-gum-pla/13110128 #travelvictoria #wetlands #glenelgshire

12.01.2022 SA's Walk the Yorke network will be great to connect with Wayward Bus 2020 when we start rolling. https://yorkepeninsula.com.au//walk/walk-the-yorke-map.pdf

10.01.2022 Shared from our Wayward Bus 1990-2009 memories page...

08.01.2022 A fab heritage hostel. A few other YHAs oozing with history include Noosa's Halse Lodge, Katoomba, Port Fairy and SA's Port Elliot.

08.01.2022 Well done #SouthAustralia!! Walk the Yorke, walk the Clare Valley - and walk in between them!

08.01.2022 Looking forward to when we can run again in South Australia's Clare, Mid North and Southern Flinders regions...

07.01.2022 Our leg from Melbourne to Adelaide in 6 days will include the Little Blue Lake. Much to see around #MountGambier and The Limestone Coast!

07.01.2022 Day 3 refreshments at Mt. Hallen, staying in Esk tonight. Tomorrow on to Toogoolawah!

06.01.2022 Get ready for a road trip that's outside the stuff of catalogues. Wayward Bus is tuned to savvy Aus and NZ travellers open to a more relaxed and insightful journey. Some call this 'slow travel'. Check out the itineraries at our partner Arcadia Travel's website: https://arcadiatravel.com.au/australia Right now we're stirring for a 1st February '21 reboot out of Noosa.... Admittedly, while first starting in 1990, Australia's Wayward Bus has been off the road for a wee bit longer than Covid. Think Rip van Winkle. It'll be a hoot to be back - we'd like to be the bees' knees of travel in '21 - and we look forward to delighting travellers (of all ages) all over again. As we did through the 90s and 00s. Don't miss the Wayward Bus when it comes through your town! PS If you match Wayward trips with budget accommodation choices, we're less per day than what many tour companies charge for the single supplement! #slowtravel #seeaustralia #lettheothersrush #waywardbus

05.01.2022 How tempting is the new sealed road to Tibooburra!? https://www.abc.net.au//locals-delighted-as-seale/12263426

04.01.2022 Wayward Bus 2020 just sponsored the Great Blue Walk for $50. The guys are trekking from Adelaide to Mt Gambier's Blue Lake, via our coast route through The Coorong, Robe and Beachport. Two terrific causes, check it out and give them a hand!

04.01.2022 Our next outing along the BVRT (Brisbane Valley Rail Trail)...

03.01.2022 If you're about SE Qld, consider joining us for a 5-day jaunt up the Great Dividing Range next month (while we wait for interstate travel to become reliable again).

01.01.2022 Echuca here we come!

01.01.2022 This is part of our Sydney to Melbourne Wayward Bus plans. We're not flying on the Connie however HARS Aviation Museum is an extended lunch stop on the first day. And if you think the Connie looks comfy to ride in, wait till you stretch out in our seats!
