25.01.2022 This week Waverley are joining people across Victoria to raise awareness for domestic and family violence. The annual walk is taking place on Wednesday November 25th this year. And although we cannot walk together in the CBD, we can still show our support and help raise awareness by wearing orange and participating in the online walk from home event. The clinic will be run by qualified Waverley Association coaches and players and will cover all the basic skills in a fun and inclusive environment. 09.01.2022 VJBL Tryouts for the 2021 season are almost upon us!! Tryouts, like many things, will be different to previous years. Please read the below carefully, to make sure everyone is well prepared for the trials: - All players MUST register prior to the first tryout date. Registration will close November 30th @ 5pm - if registration is not entered by this date your child cannot attend tryouts. Follow this link to register NOW: ... http://waverleybasketball.com/rep.aspx - No parents will be permitted in the stadium during tryouts. - Doors will open 10 minutes prior to the session commencing and all players must exit the stadium within 10 minutes of their session concluding. - All players will have their temperature checked and must sanitise hands upon entry to the stadium. - All players are expected to bring their own basketball and drink bottle to each session. All balls must be sanitised prior to the session with the wipes available court side. All sessions to be held at the Waverley Basketball Stadium. * All sessions and dates are subject to change based on Basketball Victoria and the Victorian governments rules and reccommendations. * The allocated times allow for COVID-Safe cleaning post & pre sessions. * Tryouts for U/21s will be announced at a later date subject to government regulations. Rep Ready Sessions will run the weekend prior to tryouts commencing. Dates and times are currently being finalised and will be advertised shortly. 06.01.2022 2020 VJBL PHOTOS NOW AVAILABLE Although the 2020 VJBL season has been officially cancelled, we believe our players deserve recognition and congratulations for making their respective teams and the few games that were played. Team managers will have now all received an email with a dropbox link to your individual and team photos. These links will be shared to all team members and you can directly download your digital photos from here. Importantly, this link will expire on th...e 17th of August so make sure you have downloaded your images prior to this date. The photos are designed to be printed at a standard 8 x 12 inch size. To print at common retailers such as Harvey Norman, Officeworks and Kmart will cost approximatly $2.95 - $4.50 each.
