15.01.2022 You are invited to a ‘Paint Your Town’ experience! Be prepared to have some creative fun. Don’t be nervous, an artist will walk you through the steps of an artwork and you'll complete your own masterpiece to take home. Here are a few tips to help you make the most of your creative day: Get excited and relax, this is designed to be a fun experience! Fun not fine art ... Please pay your host in advance or bring cash on the day. Please arrive 15 mins or so before kick off, so we can begin painting on time and aren’t holding our artist up. We provide an apron for you to wear, but just in case a neighbouring painter gets a little carried away we recommend wearing something that ‘s not your favourite outfit. FYI Paint + Wine = A little mess!! We use acrylic paints, so they do wash out (with a little assistance), but don’t wear your Sunday best Our classes are roughly 2 hours long, with a break after the background is painted. Get social! We'll be taking photos throughout the session and posting them on our Paint Your Town Facebook and Instagram pages. We'd love for you to share your pics with us and leave us a little review too! Remember to arrange a ‘Plan B’ if having a few drinks. See you soon! https://paintyourtown.com.au/*FUNdraiser*-for-Wauchope-Bonn

07.01.2022 TUESDAY TIP . . . IF YOU NEED HELP, STAY CALM AND ATTRACT ATTENTION Even the most careful people can find themselves out of their limits in the water. If you are not feeling comfortable in the water and you require a lifeguard’s assistance to get back to shore, stay calm, raise your arm in the air and wave it from side to side. This will attract the attention of a lifeguard who will be able to come to your assistance. You should conserve your energy by floating on your back and staying calm. This will ensure you have the energy to remain afloat until further aid arrives.

06.01.2022 This morning , three amazing life savers went down for an early surf and Boat row before patrol and Nippers started. Two of these wonderful life savers were in the water and saw a father and daughter that were in trouble. The couple, that were swimming, were caught in a rip and calling out for help. James and Billy (father and Son) paddled their boards out to the distressed pair to help them. James paddled the girl back to shore. Billy (who is only 10 years old) remained cal...m and stayed with the man and kept him afloat on his surfboard. Nick Player one of new Bronze members and Boat rower paddled out on a rescue board to help the man and bring him in safely. They saved them! Well done Billy Stapleton (Under 11 nipper) James Stapleton (Bronze Member and Age Manager) and Nick Player Bronze Member and Boat rower. You all should be very proud of putting your training and level headedness into action! See more
