While she was at Swinburne, she redesigned the Transition and Advancement programs for the Engineering and Business Faculties and delivered the University wide engagement events. This involved working with volunteers, including training developing policy to manage and acknowledge them and working with them. 07.01.2022 The Swinburne Young Mums program is a fantastic way for young girls who have had their children early, to complete their education. The wonderful staff out at the @Swinburne Croydon campus have not only been supporting these girls to obtain their VCAL qualification but have also been teaching them skills such as card making (depicted in the photos) and #3D printing so that they can build their own micro businesses and earn income at home while caring for their babies. They are seeking volunteers to help out, not only with the programs but also with office support tasks one or two days per week. If you are interested and would like to volunteer please email me at [email protected]

06.01.2022 What an incredible year! The Business Without Borders team has been totally focused on making the world a better place and enhancing social prosperity. They hav...e achieved so much and will be taking a much-deserved break over the Christmas and new year holidays but I am sure that they will once again rise to the challenge in 2017. As Chair, I would like to take a moment to express our gratitude for their tireless hard work and their commitment to make our global community better. In the past 2 years, they have contributed over 28000 hours of their time to the community, raised over $25000, supported community organisations such as Guide Dogs Victoria, Dandenong neighborhood house, Rotary and Boroondara cares, the Alma Doepel, Bridge of Hope and many others. They have also been supporting the Swinburne Young mum's project, our community computers projects and over 40 Kiva Micro finance loans. Many of our team members are graduating this week and while we are sad that they are moving on, we know that they will take the spirit of BWB global citizenship into their new workplaces and continue to make a global difference. A special thank you to the management team and project leaders who have led our members to deliver successful projects and supported their teams in their fantastic work. Congratulations and well done to everyone on the BWB team. You are not the leaders of tomorrow, you have proven that you are the leaders of today and we look forward to seeing the impact that you make in the world with your talents as you continue your journey.
