07.01.2022 Great News!! Both Warradale Community Children’s Centre Parkholme Campus and Warradale Campus are a drop off point for The Nappy Collective this May! Did you know 1 in 5 children don’t have enough nappies to stay clean, healthy and happy?... If you have any clean, unused, leftover nappies, we would love some to donate towards the Nappy Collective’s May Nappy Drive. You know, the ones at the bottom of the nappy bag that you now realise are too small? Or the half a box of the last size that you still have in the cupboard? Or maybe some that you left at the Grandparent’s house? Any donation would be so much appreciated! We hope you can help us to help families experiencing nappy stress

03.01.2022 The Nappy Collective Warradale Community Children’s Centre - Parkholme Campus - will be a collection point from May 7th, 2021 for the Nappy Collective. Families tend to have leftover, spare nappies at home for many reasons:... A baby or toddler may have grown out of a size of nappy part way through a packet or box of nappies Families may have tried or accidentally purchased a new brand which didn’t suit their child Families might have left spare nappies in a different bag, in the car or at the grandparents’ house only to find that once again their child had grown out of them Families may have made the switch to cloth nappies and have spare disposable nappies. Some families pass these leftover nappies on to a friend, keep them for their next child or sadly even throw them away. We aim to collect these nappies that could end up in landfill and divert them to families in need. The nappies are distributed to community partners that support families in crisis or need, including women’s crisis shelters, respite services and community organisations that support disadvantaged families such as asylum seekers and refugees. We do not distribute nappies directly to individuals. Please ask your friends, family, and work colleagues to help out by donation any leftover nappies they may have. You will be able to put them in the collection box at our Centre Thank you for your support!

03.01.2022 , . It's officially National NAIDOC Week, and this year’s theme is Always Was, Always Will Be. It's about recognising that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. The First Peoples engraved the world’s first maps, made the earliest paintings of ceremony and invented unique technologies. They also built and engineered structures predating well-known sites such as the Egyptian Pyramids and Stonehenge....
