25.01.2022 No rugby tour this year but 20 years ago, the fear of Y2K behind them, Waverley College boys got muddy in the UK and Ireland. Here are just a few of the photos from our archives.

21.01.2022 We are saddened to hear the news that Adam Keats, Class of 1980, is seriously ill and in hospital in Australia and that his wife and daughter are stuck in Canada - they are trying to be reunited with Adam before it is too late. If you can help, please donate to their cause. The Class of 1980 is having their 40-year reunion this Saturday, and have supported their old classmate. https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-for-the-keats-family

18.01.2022 Vale Phil O'Sullivan, Class of 1938. The College community is saddened to hear that our oldest-known Old Boy, Phil, passed away on Monday. From the earliest days, Phil's family have deeply impacted the shaping of Waverley College, notably, securing the lease to use Queens Park in the '30s, fixing up the old school buses and serving on the OBU. A lovely man and loyal Waverlian, Phil 'Mr Cricket' O'Sullivan will be greatly missed. We were lucky to capture some of the Old Boy's stories last year, which can be viewed here. https://waverley.nsw.edu.au//recollections-by-phil-osulli/

18.01.2022 Happy Flashback Friday! Remember a time when this could happen on campus? Abseiling in the quad and something called the death slide...?

17.01.2022 Remembrance Day 2020. We remember the eleven Old Boys who in 1914 left on the first transport convoy, three of whom would die during WWI in the service of their country: Edgar Fitzgerald, killed on the first morning at Gallipoli Peter O’Reilly, killed at Bullecourt, 1917 Tom Westbrook, killed one day after Peter O’Reilly, also at Bullecourt, 1917... Also aboard the 1914 transports were John Dugan, Ed Chalk, Stanley Gow and his brother Rupert, Harold Wainwright, Frank Wood, Evelyn Keenan and Rupert Gannon. Lest we forget.

12.01.2022 Congratulations to Dominic Robinson (Class of 2009) and his team at Attica for being awarded the 2020 Wine List of the Year! http://gourmettravellerwine.com//wine-list-of-the-year.html

08.01.2022 Today is the anniversary of the sinking of His Majesty's Australian Hospital ship, Centaur. In 1943 it was sunk by a Japanese submarine south of Moreton Island, off the Queensland coast. From the 332 people on board, only 64 survived. Waverley Old Boy, Captain Bernard Hindmarsh was one of 18 doctors on board who died this day, 78 years ago.

06.01.2022 Check out page 12-13 of the latest Wentworth Courier, where Old Boy and trumpet virtuoso Paul Goodchild (Class of 1978) chats to Leo Schoefield. http://newslocal.smedia.com.au/wentworth-courier/
