Taking and empathetic and innovative approach Belinda and Marie picked some lemons from their home gardens and made up WDEA Works show bags with lemons, pens, magnets and a sign saying- when life gives you lemons make lemonade. The duo delivered the show bags to Hamiltons local hospitality businesses. ... We wanted to let our local businesses know we are thinking of them and how impressed we are with what they have been able to achieve with flexibility and innovative thinking to be able to continue to provide a service during these Covid-19 times. 06.01.2022 One of WDEA Works values is Innovation. We were proud to hear about this selfless act from our Portland DES Team Leader Leanne, who demonstrated innovation to bring joy to others. When I received the WDEA Works voucher (all staff received a thank you voucher for all their work this year), I knew that I wanted to use this to bring a smile to others. ... My youngest son is in his last year of primary school and the school and teachers have been great to us and I wanted to show them our gratitude. I knew this was the perfect opportunity to give back. I gave the voucher to the principal who used it to purchase all the teachers lunch from a local caf.
