23.01.2022 DISGUSTING ACT ... Vandals have graffitied two of the new dugouts at Wynnum Wolves FC overnight and vandalised the scoreboard control box between Fields 1 and 4 at Carmichael Park. The incident has been reported to police and evidence has been gathered from the area. This is a low act by contemptable individuals who have no respect for community assets and the tireless work that the volunteers of community clubs put into their facilities to provide a safe, welcoming and prese...ntable playing space for not only the club's members - but the many members of the broader community who use the fields at Carmichael Park. Wynnum Wolves FC pours thousands of dollars into the upkeep and maintenance of its grounds and facilities each season - dollars that come directly from the Mums and Dads who pay registration fees for their children and help out with raffles, canteen duties and other fundraising events to support the club's programs and facilities. It affects EACH AND EVERY ONE OF OUR MEMBERS when crimes such as this are committed. Our club has taken great pride in transforming the presentation of the Carmichael Park facility over the course of this season so this act of vandalism is particularly hard to swallow. Along with our wonderful major sponsors Trident Services Australia - we will now work to not only clean up the mess but investigate the installation of security cameras around the facility to monitor any future criminal activity. Sadly, this once again means more money to find for a not-for-profit community club. 16.01.2022 LATE NIGHT VISITOR ... This rather large scrub python (about 2m long) was an interested visitor at Carmichael Park last night. First team player Stephen Blackburn gave him a quick tour of the new facility upgrades before escorting him safely off Field 1. As the weather heats up just a reminder to all players and families to be careful around the grounds as our fields are so close to the creek and surrounding scrubland. #SnakeAlert #WeAreWolves

The Wynnum Wolves' Under 15 NPL Juniors were the first to try out our new dugouts on Field 1 tonight @ Carmichael Park in their catch-up match against Southwest Queensland Thunder. Work will continue this week on the club's new dugout project on Fields 1 and 2. We're all looking forward to seeing the finished product later in the week. #WeAreWolves

10.01.2022 SIGNING OFF SEASON 2020 ... After taking 2020 FQPL Champions Logan to down to the wire in extra time in last Saturday's FQPL Semi-Final, the Wynnum Wolves Firsts gathered for a team photo and final "fun" training game at the Wolf Den last night. High spirits and a great vibe & camaraderie from an outstanding group of players and individuals who have represented the club with such distinction during the 2020 Season. The lads will gather with the 20s and 18s players for the club's Senior Presentation this Saturday before taking a well-deserved break over December and early-January. A sincere thank-you to each and every member of our 2020 Firsts playing, coaching and support team for such an enjoyable, memorable and successful season. What a year! #SoProud #WeAreWolves

There are many tasks on the jobs list - both inside and out - so the working bee will go ahead RAIN, HAIL or SHINE on both Saturday and Sunday mornings this weekend - 7.30am through until Noon - followed by a BBQ lunch. 05.01.2022 READY TO RETURN is explosive left back, Moses Joseph, who has re-signed with Wynnum Wolves FC for the 2021 season. A mid-season signing for the club in 2020, Joseph, was an integral part of Wolves’ fightback from a slow start last season, proving himself a handful for opposition teams from the left fullback position, which he made his own on joining the club. Mo showed us what an exciting player he can be when he joined us mid-way through last season. He was a big part of our success and I’m looking forward to seeing what he’s going to bring to the table this year with a full pre-season under his belt, Chandler said. Wynnum Wolves FC will kick off its Centenary Year with a cracker Pre-Season program for its Juniors and Seniors across late January & early February - with four action-packed weekends of matches already lined-up against NPL clubs Gold Coast Knights, Peninsula Power, Brisbane Roar and Eastern Suburbs in the 2021 Pre-Season Club Championship for the club's SAP, NPL Junior and FQPL Senior teams. The majority of Wolves' teams are locked and loaded f...or the new Season - with only a number of spaces still to be filled in Wolves' Under 11 SAP and Under 13 NPL Junior teams, including GK positions - register via the link below. After starting his Football as a Wynnum Wolves’ junior back in 1985, Over 35 player Aaron Todd is loving being back at his grassroots club and is excited for the 2021 season to unfold at Carmichael Park. Todd was part of a premiership winning Wynnum Wolves’ Over 35s tea...m in 2020 and also spent many hours on the BBQ, or on the sidelines, watching his son Javier play in the Wolves’ FQPL Under 18s team, which finished second the 2020 League. Saturday Morning Squirts was also a regular gig for the Todd family with young son Reuben starting his Football at the club as a three-year-old in 2020. I’ve got the best of both worlds, Todd said. Jay’s 18s team is an exciting group and I’m really looking forward to watching Reuben get into Squirts again this year. Todd has also signed on to be the Manager of the FQPL 18s for Season 2021 and has put his support firmly behind the club by signing on as a major sponsor of Wynnum Wolves FC for the next three years.
