Australian Federal & States Government have been announcing stimulus packages to offset damage to businesses from coronavirus pandemic. We have been receiving many calls from our clients asking about their entitlement. We have put together a summary of major benefits below: Home Owners... - Mortgage repayment deferral for up to 6 months- All states - Renovation grant of $4,000 and $6,000 if you contribute $1,000 and $2,000 respectively- NT Businesses - Instant asset write-off threshold lifted to $150,000 for companies with a turnover up to $500 million- All states - 50% wage subsidy (up to $21,000 per person) for apprentice or trainee paid from 1 January 2020- All states - Tax free payment of $2,000 to $25,000 for business with turnover under $50 million- All states - Major personal crisis exemption for 14 days for those who can not meet current income-support obligations due to required isolation- All states - Business grant of $10,000.
