25.01.2022 FLASH BACK I bumped into this bride today at a workshop and she said wow, its been ten years! And thats how I measure my life... Ive been shooting for over a decade and have seen many styles, many celebrations & so many types of love. It is the longest thing Ive ever done (longer than any relationship Ive had!) and thats because wedding photography is so diverse and fulfilling. Im still proud of the photos I took so long ago. Even though I evolve in style, the heart of my images remains the same. Aint gonna quit anytime soon #lightandairy #2010

24.01.2022 From the shadows to the light. Sometimes relationships feel like that. I remember always having an undercurrent of wheres my soul mate? When I was single. Endless dating and dramas... and then in the simplest way my Andrew appeared like the most familiar person, like the friend & life partner Id been missing. Now life feels brighter. Its still full of plenty of drama to navigate (cmon!) but the highs and lows still feel like the place to be.
23.01.2022 Oh Miri, such a classic beauty in a Cottesloe treasure, The Civic Centre. These were taken at 7am before the morning ceremony! Firstly, big shout out to me for getting up earlier than I ever do, but also how nice it is to shoot in the early hours, at the very start of a wedding day. I'm using the huge NEED I have for this in my life and I think in those around me ... It's about having a focus, a small lighthearted task in a day that may look so very different. 15.01.2022 Emotions are like a balloon. The more intense and nervous you feel before a ceremony, the bigger youre blown up, the thinner your skin feels and the bigger the explosion of relief and elation when you walk back down the aisle. POP! (I just made that one up but I like it heehee). It could be a helpful analogy tho for people to recognise their feelings then letting it all go at this point

13.01.2022 How many really great surprises do you get in a lifetime? Not enough I reckon! Even though Sarah has a very keen nose for any surprise mischief her dad has planned, she didn't pick this one! Her 'reduced' family-only wedding was something she had fully accepted as a "Covid reality" but her friends worked out a way to turn up during the shoot with drinks and treats to essentially congratulate and show just how goshdarn loved she is. @ Applecross, Western Australia

09.01.2022 Yesterday this wedding was a jewel in the "cathedral" that is the forest by the Blackwood River in Nannup. So thrilled to be with these gems and their shared love of brachen fern , free ranging dogs & choosing humour whenever possible!

02.01.2022 Got a question for those brides that have gotten married. Would you have fit into your dress a year later? Can you imagine enjoying a photoshoot of you getting to wear your dress again as a one year anniversary celebration? Would you be willing to get wet, dirty or messy as a part of that? (Just thinking that this whole thing is a good way to enjoy the dress again whilst making some new beautiful photographs!)
