22.01.2022 Want to know one of our BIGGEST social media tips? In 2020, it's all about keeping it real. Think about it: would you rather see a picture-perfect, polished Instagram shot that looks like something straight out of a magazine? ..or something that is authentic and 100% real? Across the board, we're seeing quick videos snapped on iPhones out-performing perfectly polished, scripted content. The last-minute snap on an iPhone is almost alway...s out-doing the animated content piece that took hours to perfect. And the best bit? Authentic content is SO much more cost-effective to produce than high-end production pieces (talk about a double-win! ). 20.01.2022 As any small business owner would know, when you're running a business, taking a proper break can be tricky at the best of times (..let alone when you're in the midst of 2020!) In the past, my 'holidays' have involved continuously keeping an eye on my emails, being a slave to notifications, taking phone calls during bushwalks, and even taking my laptop with me to the beach (..yes, for real! ). But this time? My team were just about... ready to throw something at me when they overheard me on the phone agreeing to do a big corporate Zoom meeting during my upcoming holiday time. As soon as I got off the phone, the team gave me strict orders to take a *proper* break and assured me that they had everything under control. And you know what? I knew they were right! We've grown to a point where our systems and processes are on point. The team know how to handle anything that pops up. And thanks to them, I've been able to enjoy two cruisy, care-free, sun-soaked weeks up in Noosa at @sundaysbeachhouse! I return to work today feeling rested, recharged, grateful for the fact that we're allowed to travel, and oh so thankful for my #dreamteam. 15.01.2022 New year, new energy This year, we're focused on growth - but also more balance, more days in the sun, and more self-care. It’s partly to make up for lost ground during 2020 - but also because the social media industry is notorious for promoting hustle culture, which just isn’t sustainable in the long term.... What does this look like at Ivy Social? Lunch is enjoyed outside over a laugh instead of inside over a keyboard. It’s *very* rare to see anyone working back past 5.30 pm (aside from Emily, she’s just a night owl sometimes!) You’ll never find us pushing a 24/7 ‘always on’ mentality like most social media jobs demand. 10.01.2022 Happy one year Ivy Social anniversary to our amazing Vanessa! It's so crazy to think it was only 12 months ago that this lovely one started with us. With all that 2020 has thrown at us, it feels like she's been with us for around 200 years. Regardless of the timeframe, every minute of having her on team Ivy Social has been nothing but a complete and utter joy. 08.01.2022 Here we have the two 'OGs' of Ivy Social, Emily and Dani, in their natural habitat! It's crazy to think that this little team of two is now a team of four! While 2020 has certainly had its challenges, we're so grateful for the amazing opportunities that have come our way over the past few months. 02.01.2022 Oh hello there 2021 - we sure are glad to see you! Today is our first day back in the office - and we're *so* looking forward to all this year has to offer! Here's a little taste of what's to come ... We've already welcomed two new clients to the Ivy Social fold in Jan and are excited to welcome another newbie in Feb! We'll be moving into a brand new office space in Feb Our business bestie, Rosalie from Good Day PR is going to welcome a little bubba very soon Vanessa is moving to Brisbane in April (..but don't worry, she'll still be working remotely as part of the Ivy Social crew!) ..and Emily is getting married in October! We have a feeling this year is going to be a biggie - in the best possible way!
