21.01.2022 "The majority of work injuries are musculoskeletal in nature, and by using #Coviu to connect patients with our physiotherapy team, we can triage them on the spot and provide the right advice at the right time, wherever they’re based," Mr Borman said. "The real-time video feature also allows us to guide employers at the end of the consult on what the worker can safely perform at work during their recovery and how best to prevent a recurrence or aggravation. #videoconferencing #telehealth

16.01.2022 This has been making big news everywhere, but will it really effect advertising that much or will marketers just need to be smarter with their targeting and advertising tactics?

16.01.2022 The problem of data interoperability is the one of the biggest facing digital healthcare rollouts all around the world. Getting the data from all different forms of providers talking together is a big challenge. Google and the AMA (American Medical Association) are issuing a challenge with rollouts across a number or platforms in America. How will this effect Australia?

12.01.2022 Small nations are seeing the benefits that #telehealth could bring to their people, where modern culture is effecting the health of their people due to lack of education about fast foods. #Telemedicine being made available to these smaller poorer nations opens their healthcare system up to give access to a wide range of specialists at a much smaller cost. #telehealth #digitalhealth

11.01.2022 The future of healthcare includes digital technologies for post hospital and outpatient care. Patients will receive access to a 24 x 7 support resource during their pregnancy, creating greater security and confidence for the patient and providing up to date information for the caregivers of their patients status. This will be a great benefit in the case of high-risk pregnancies.

10.01.2022 This article highlights why it is so important to have you "own" space in the digital world. While all of the social media platforms are fantastic for reaching people, the space that you have with them is borrowed space. You have no control over the changes that are made to the platform. Every good Digital Marketing strategy should include blog posting to a website that you are fully in control of. So that when changes to algorithms or a platform loses it's popularity you have something to fall back on with all your hard work and created content available to pivot and move to the next new space.

09.01.2022 The latest mobile phone network has been release and is touted to be 10 and 100 times faster than the current 4G technologies. Think about what this extra speed could do for improving data transfer between providers and allowing for more video conferencing to be used within hospitals and practitioner situations.

09.01.2022 What are your thoughts on Chat bots? Do you think they have a place in Healthcare?

08.01.2022 This survey across Europe and the United States showed that 96% of organisations that are currently implementing #mHealth technology saw a positive impact in patient engagement and satisfaction. Introducing #mHealth technology to your practice can be as simple as implementing an automatic SMS reminder system for patient appointments. Providing follow up appointment information and providing apps for post-appointment and proactive patient health care are other implementations of #mhealth. Have you implemented any #mHealth in your practice?

07.01.2022 Are you building your business and suffering a few hurdles? My positive thinking suffers when I hit a roadblock or suffer a setback in business. This quote speaks to me right now: There is no problem outside of you that is superior to the power within you. Bob Proctor... 07.01.2022 Telemedicine is really taking off in the US. Patient satisfaction surveys are now being introduced at the end of virtual visits helping to gauge patients views on the service they are receiving their consult remotely.

06.01.2022 A $200+ million dollar investment into Digital Health to form a Digital Health Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) that will develop and test digital health solutions for real patients in real hospitals, while equipping Australians to better manage their own health and wellness. The CRC brings together industry and research partners across Australia's health and wellness landscape in a collaborative approach to advancing health and medical technologies and pharmaceuticals. #digitalhealthaustralia #adha

06.01.2022 The continuum of care is no longer bound by face-to-face proximity. Our customers and partners can offer a seamless experience across every step in the patient journey, said Vidyo’s Chief Marketing Officer, Elana Anderson. There are some exciting talks coming out of #ATA18. Australia should be watching as #interoperability is one of the biggest hurdles facing digital health care. The potentials for #digitalhealth care reach far and wide if we can get all of the technologies talking together.

06.01.2022 This article shows an interesting graphic on the evolution of technology and how quickly we have developed. What will be next for technology in #Healthcare?

02.01.2022 Telehealth is not a new technology, the very first report of #telemedicine in a scientific journal was in 1879. It was a report of a telephone diagnosis, where the doctor held the receiver of the phone to the patients chest and made a diagnosis from that. So while it's not new, it's come a long way since then. Leading the way in Telemedicine for many years was our very own Royal Australian Flying Doctors service that has been providing #telehealth services to rural areas of Australia for 90 years! If it's been around for so long, then why are many countries, including Australia, finding it so hard to get it adopted? We believe that patients are ready, is our government and healthcare ready to support #Telehealth in moving our healthcare system forward?

01.01.2022 My Health Record is Australia's first real push into Digital Health. How do you feel it's going? What could they be doing better? Personally I would love to see the option for more e-prescribing and to also be able to receive short GP consults via video, especially for those times when you have the common cold and simply need some rest and a doctors certificate.... Let us know your thoughts below

01.01.2022 While not exactly the "digital health" we normally post about, I think that as medical practitioners these topics are important. The importance of "Digital Well Being" and being able to switch off for your devices is often overlooked, by just that, devices! The pull power that our devices have on us makes it increasingly hard to put them down and walk away. While I think that the new "digital well-being" features that Google are introducing are a bit "gimmicky" and only touch on the surface of the problem. It is good to see that there is a push towards providing options for people. These are still user driven options that if you are "addicted" may not be enough to entice you away. What are your thoughts and when did you last have a digital detox?
