It’s our own bee-spoke version of ‘adhocracy’ - a flexible, adaptable and creative form of organisation that employs specialised multidisciplinary teams operating in an opposite fashion to a bureaucracy. As a beeocracy, we make our mark through flexible integrative behavior, agility and an openness to new ideas. Author Robert H Waterman Jnr defined adhocracy as a "form of organisation that cuts across normal bureaucratic lines to capture opportunities, solve problems, and get results". What’s not to love?!
