24.01.2022 Facebook, I threw this up on LinkedIn a few days ago, and it really struck a chord with the community over there.... Firstly, my heart sincerely goes out to all those who have been affected by the situation at hand - especially those small businesses that are doing it tough. Secondly, to every grey cloud, there is a silver lining. The Web3 team and I have been monitoring the massive shifts in consumer demand daily, and rapidly developing new campaign strategies for both our...selves and our clients in reaction to market change so that we all remain prosperous. I am in a unique position with my business to be across hundreds of businesses in almost every industry that you can think of. What I am seeing right now is some businesses are receding while others businesses are booming beyond what their own infrastructure and team can handle. Money does not disappear, it simply changes hands. If you already are or think that you will be in a cash crisis, double down on the activities that are going to generate cash. If cash has moved out of your audience, or if they are simply not buying, adapt your strategy to solve problems for the markets that are booming as a result of the situation at hand. 21.01.2022 Do you want your law firm to not only survive but thrive in these challenging times? Here's the thing: the legal industry has not been immune to the wave of lay-offs and stand-downs that have occurred this week. Whether you like it or not, we have all entered into a brave new world: a world of online-only interaction and client acquisition. ... We've been advising firms to make digital their top business priority for the last 10 years. Now, you have no other option but to not only be online, but to be the very best online. Here's what we have observed in Google Search over the last 14 days: Performance regarding our law firms' client acquisition campaigns in Google search has not been affected Our firms are showing up more and more in Google search for relevant keyword searches WITHOUT any increase in advertising spend This is resulting in an increased amount of clicks to our law firms' sites. If this trend continues, we will see a decrease in cost-per-click across the board for law firm search ads As a result, conversion actions (phone calls, form enquiry) are starting to trend up. This is WITHOUT increasing advertising spend which means = less cost to acquire potential clients. Now is the time to be the best online.
21.01.2022 Hey Facebook Pour yourself a coffee (or alcoholic beverage of choice) because Ive got a bit of a story to tell you It was late in the day and I just got off a consultation call with a partner at a law firm. He had seen the type of work we have been doing for other law firms in the space, and he wanted to have a discussion about what we could do for him. I dont like my website... it doesnt reflect who we are he said. I noted these points down intently. ... But what is it that you really want? I said. He looked at me slightly dumbfounded before replying with What do you mean?. Let me put it this way, lets say you loved your website and it truly reflects your firm, what would you expect to happen? Well, Id expect to generate more business from it he replied. Id expect it to show up when people are searching in Google he added. Heres the thing, what businesses THINK they want is to be at the top of Google. What they actually NEED is the ability to generate more online enquiry from online search. These are two completely different things. The solution is to first get an understanding of pains & problems your target audience is actively searching for solutions (which I covered in my previous video) so you can use that insight to create an online offer that can help solve those immediate problems. If you get all of the above right, inbound enquiry will follow. 13.01.2022 Google has just announced that it will be offering $340 million USD in ad spend credits to eligible small businesses. Facebook has also announced a $100 million USD cash grant and ad credit fund for small businesses. But why would small businesses want to advertise in midst of an economic recession? ... Here's the thing - all the work that we have been doing for the last 2-3 weeks has been with clients who have been able to cut through the fear and clearly see new opportunities that have arisen for their business. We are working with them closely to adapt and evolve their message and offers to market in context with the new rules of doing business today, and most importantly, to where consumer demand has shifted. One particular example is a law firm that we helped launch into wills & estates within days of making the decision using an online-only client acquisition campaign via Facebook & Google. Although it is still a bit too early to call, early results are indicating this will be the best performing campaign on record in terms of new clients won. If you can bring the right offer to the right audience at the right time, there is still massive opportunity to ethically grow your business even amidst of a global downturn. Adapt or perish.

01.01.2022 I remember the day like it was yesterday... For years, I had been hesitating to use Google Tag Manager in my business. I was thinking to myself 'this is going to be just another tool that I'm going to have to manage'... more time that I was going to need to spend (which I did not have). ... Finally, I decided to bite the bullet and set it up. WOW! How I could not have been more wrong! I couldn't believe the amount of time it was SAVING me, not COSTING me. Setting up complex event conversion tracking that previously required developers to do it could now be done in a few clicks. Spending hours trying to troubleshoot issues with analytics could now be isolated and fixed in minutes. I never needed to mess around with my website code to install & configure marketing scripts AGAIN!
