20.01.2022 Geelong 70.3.. what a journey! What was working out to be a perfect prep quickly ended 4weeks out when I came off my mountain bike and suffered a grade3 dislocation to my AC joint.. I decided to line up this morning and just have fun not expecting much because of the lack of training over the last 4 weeks! 15.01.2022 Last minute decision to come race the @triaustralia Cross TRI champs in @lakecrackenback Not the way I wanted to race but I changed the race plan to suit my current situation, I had to go beyond max effort on the flat to make up for the time where I was forced to take it easy in the technical sections due to my shoulder. Feeling ok heading out on the run I pushed the limits and came home with a 3min run course PB! Super pumped to be a 2 X Australian champ for Cross Triathlon... 14.01.2022 2xu Race 3 Extremely disappointed 2nd today, some low life thought it would be a great idea to let the pressure out of my front wheel in transition this morning they didn't do a good enough job as they left about 30psi in it! I made the call at the 6km mark to jump off and try get some pressure in it with a pitstop( in a mad rush i missed and sprayed foam everywhere) I managed to get it a little bit more inflated 55psi to be exact! I've been angry all afternoon thinking why ...would someone get so much joy in seeing me dnf or crash and hurt myself?? So instead of staying angry, I would like to thank the person who did this to me you taught me that I can still finish a race in a great time and position when things go wrong and also showed me that I am able to push an AVG power of 52watts more compared the the last 2xu race which was 6.5km shorter!! 09.01.2022 After taking up beer drinking for 6 weeks post World Champs I decided it was a good idea to see what fitness my body still had in it @2xutriathlonseries race one blessed me with perfect swimming conditions! 03.01.2022 Once we believe in ourselves, we can risk curiosity . . A dislocated shoulder 4 weeks out from race day stopped all swimming prep in its tracks! As much as I wanted to swim I listened to the specialist Laura from @theinjuryclinic and rested! A week before the race i had to test getting in and out of the wetsuit and swim/float 1km (my first swim in 3 weeks). ... Race day rolls around and I have no idea what to expect so I started 3min back in the rolling start so I didn't get in the way of the top boys, calmly walked into the water and took each stroke as a win...
