05.01.2022 Wyangala dam wall raising project/Water NSW... This is what a natural flood on the Upper Lachlan looks like. Do you really want to find out what a man made flood will look like if you double the capacity of the Wyangala Dam??? Natural floods on the Lachlan are a part of life on the river. Luckily, the water recedes and flows back into the river system very quickly allowing the crops to survive and the damage to be minimal. ... If the Wyangala dam doubles its capacity this will be our new river system. The river and river flats will already be inundated and full to the brim...a flood like this on top of the inundation will completely destroy this highly productive farmland. See more

01.01.2022 Wyangala dam wall raising project... We are going to need a bigger boat and you're going to need a bigger budget!!!! This was a natural flood to be expected on the Lachlan river. We won't be as lucky when the wall is raised by 10 metres... The lucerne crops are under that water somewhere!
