25.01.2022 Hello everyone. I'm very pleased to provide you with a link to Operation Toilet's annual report. At times my head spins when I think of what we have achieved in... the few years since starting this incredible work, first through We Can't Wait and then through Operation Toilets and the Rotary Club of Box Hill Central. Tens of thousands of lives transformed by something as basic as a toilet. See more

06.01.2022 I want to tell you all a little about our impact at the Vidya Prashala School outside Nasik. This is the school that we visited in January this year to open 30 toilets. Not long after we arrived at the school a girl of about 16 came up to me and said The toilets you gave to our school have changed my life. They have also changed my village. A little later two more girls walked across the school grounds to thank us. They told us that they often held on all day rather than u...se the old toilets. And if they did use them they always went in pairs. Now they never hold on and are happy to go alone. The headmaster informed us that there has been a large reduction in absentee days among the girls and an increase in girls enrolled in the school including some returning to school now that good toilets are available. The toilets were so perfectly clean. We saw a near constant stream of kids going in and out during the two hours we spent at the school. Clearly these toilets have become a part of day to day life at the school. We then visited one of the villages that the school’s students come from. The mayor told us that before our toilets were built at the school many of the homes did not have toilets and a good number of people were defecating in the open. Immediately after the toilets were opened the children started putting pressure on their families. Within months every home had a toilet and today less than a year after the toilets were opened nobody in the village would even consider going in the open any more. Fair to say all of this is why we do this work.
