20.01.2022 Wedderburn Bowlers, we are in the process of preparing the greens. At this stage they are not ready and there is other preparation required to be able to use club. We will notify you when we are able to resume play. We will be working with the appropriate authorities to make the area covid safe.

18.01.2022 Hi Bowlers A reminder that the big green is now closed until after xmas for Laurie to prepare for the maintenance work needed on the green. There is a working bee on Saturday 19th december at 8am to help Laurie with the work on the green. A good attendance by all members would be appreciated, morning tea will be supplied by the ladies. The small green will be available for practice, however please note on wednesday evening 15th dec there will be 5 singles games being played the rinks will be available on completion of the each game. While acknowledging that BA is not the controlling body of competitions staged locally by states, territories, districts and clubs, we feel it is prudent in th...e current climate that we issue this advice in order to limit any non-essential mass gatherings, until further notice. This advice is related to any pennant competition, championships, tournaments and other club events and is aimed at safeguarding the health of the sports members, participants, employees, volunteers and officials, many of whom are typically from demographics that are particularly susceptible to the effects of the virus. 14.01.2022 2017 Twilight bowls This years overall winners; Luke Holt, Ray Thompson and Neville White. After playing for four Tuesday nights they took the win, receiving a well deserved prize. A trophy and the bragging rights that go with it. There was a total of 66 competitors mostly non-bowlers, a great effort.

13.01.2022 Hello bowlers, I will try and keep you up to date with the news as I receive it in regards to Bowls. Also, the greens are in good order and will be good to go when we reopen. Regards Laurie Following meetings with the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) and the CEOs of all State and Territory Bowling Associations (STAs) yesterday and in response to the reducing number of new cases of COVID-19 in Australia, I am pleased to advise that there is consideration being given to the... relaxation of current restrictions for Sport in Australia. For Bowls specifically, the STAs and Bowls Australia (BA) have agreed to prepare guidelines in regards to a staged relaxation of restrictions for the playing of Bowls and these will be prepared strictly in adherence with any advice from the Federal Government, both from the AIS and the applicable Health agencies. Finally, the advice from BA and STAs is that whilst Bowling Clubs remain closed and that any bowls activity is not recommended or endorsed, we are however hopeful that Bowls may be able to recommence under specific guidelines in the not too distant future.
