23.01.2022 I shot at the Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley yesterday. It's not the first time I've shot a wedding there and it's a really lovely venue. You have hotel style rooms attached to the main building and self contained large apartments scattered all over the property. The golf course is pristine and there is loads of free parking. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is quality and made with love. ... Rachel the wedding coordinator is very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. There are so many amazing spots to go for photos right on location on the golf buggies. To the back right corner of the property there are rows of majestic 'pine' like trees lining a lake and a stunning rain forest backdrop is just past the vineyards which have a mountain backdrop. We found a carousel and kids train and had a little fun with that too. The wet weather option room, (which we had to use yesterday), has a glass wall looking out to the golf course and the decor is perfect as a plan B for your ceremony. Golden fabric lined walls and great neutral decor will suit any wedding party colour. You do it all in one location from a-z, which means you save money on wedding cars and the convenience of everything being in one spot. You can prepare in the rooms by having mobile hair and makeup come to you, marry on site, photos on site, reception on site, everyone stays the night and you all meet up for an after wedding breakfast. 22.01.2022 Kristy and Mitchell's wedding reception last week was held at the Ocean Restaurant at The Entrance. Now, I know the Entrance but this place you would never just stumble across, it's tucked away. Right on the beachfront with stunning views with all glass walls and lovely wooden stairs to the sandy beach which is just perfect for bridal party shots. The statue in these photos is right next to the venue and was fun to shoot in.... This is not a wedding reception venue, it's a restaurant. But you could tell this was not their first wedding! The staff are awesome and friendly. The chefs are amazing. The food is truly 5 star. I will be going back with my partner for a meal! I highly recommend this gorgeous location for any special occasion especially wedding reception. Now it's not huge, I am guessing around 60 person max with dance floor, maybe 80 with no dance floor and possibly 100 for cocktails. There is an outdoor open courtyard looking out to the beach perfect for smokers or to get a quiet moment. Loads of free street parking and the venue has motel rooms above and behind it so all your guests can stay. It's all on one level so wheel chair access is easy. I love loved this place and I'm giving it a major thumbs up! :) Sue

20.01.2022 I had the absolute pleasure of shooting a wedding at Roberts Circa Restaurant next door to Peppers Convent in the Hunter Valley. I took my partner there for his birthday last year and it was incredible. The people, the food, the atmosphere simply 5 star! :) Sue

17.01.2022 Last Tuesday I shot the wedding of Adam and Ebony at Tuscany Estate in the Hunter. The groom arrived via chopper and the couple and guests all stayed on location. Lovely lawned are with stunning backdrop for outdoor wedding. Lovely reception room, great food, great service, easy going and relaxed vibe. Highly recommended and can suit more lower budget weddings as they have options. :) Sue

07.01.2022 Love shooting at Tuscany in Pokolbin. Yesterday's wedding was no disappointment. Friendly helpful staff, amazing food, reception room looked stunning as usual. Accomodation on site, loads of free car parking. Flat access for wheelchair. Kid friendly. Lovely lawned area for ceremony and reception room is all glass with endless views of the stunning Hunter Valley. Sue :)

02.01.2022 Roberts circa restaurant where do I start? I took nick here for his birthday last year and it was just perfect. You can wander through the grape vines, chicken sheds and vast vege gardens, chapel and grounds and also admire areas in the original cottage. The food is the finest in the region and it is unquestionably five star, but with a relaxed country feel. Weddings here are simply divine. If you really want to have that dream country rustic wedding in wine country, this is it. Loads of free car parking. Close to accommodation. :) Sue

02.01.2022 After a day road tripping the Hunter scoping the best wedding venues....I realised I need to lift my game posting on this review page. I have never seen Leogate Estate Winery until today. It's set right back off the road and looks white and clean and rather European. When you enter the main doors you are overwhelmed with a sense of luxury and opulence with Grecian like pillars and high ceilings. It's a visual feast and as a photographer I was in awe. The photos you could get ...with this backdrop! The outdoor areas are undercover and grand, the property is vast with endless possibilities for stunning bridal images and the parking is plentiful and free. It's only minutes from the hunter valley gardens which is a bit of a marking spot for the hunter. The weddings and events manager Vicki has an eye for detail and offers the finest 5 star food and service. Somebody please book your wedding at this venue and book me so I can shoot it! :) Sue See more
