20.01.2022 "If a picture is worth a thousand words, then an album worth of photos must be full of great stories." I dont know about you, but for me just looking at a photo always sparks a memory of some sort. But then Im not really much of a happy-snapper taking photos of random sh!t. Im a bit more selective about what I take photos of, so if I click that shutter, its generally going to be something arty, cute buildings, cool street art, flowers, travels and just pa...in pretty stuff ;) ... cause I hate accumulating digital waste and never want to be a digital hoarder! because you have to store all those photos somewhere right the chances of deleting a ton of photos or going back through that junk is pretty slim. I love printing the most precious photos and have a stack of prints that I can swap in/out of frames. At the moment Ive bluetacked a bunch of my travel photos to my office wall maybe that wasnt a good idea as I get lost in daydreaming about when we can travel again. 12.01.2022 We just delivered the last album in this 4 series collection. This couple celebrated their wedding around the world. Starting with an intimate wedding in Melbourne. The Melbourne album had a blue linen cover to compliment the backdrop of their ceremony, a blue shipping container. The groom has a business in the shipping industry so having their wedding down by the Melbourne wharves with an industrial feel was appropriate. They honeymooned in Paris! So when in Paris you have a... photo shoot with a film photographer around all the iconic Parisian tourist spots. The tones captured on film make our hearts swoon so this is one of our all time favourite albums! With the beautiful soft pastel tones of film, this album deserved a unique cover - the couple went with pink linen. The pink might not be for everyone but it certainly was perfect for this album. The couple then travelled to Scotland for their second nuptials with their Scottish family on a beautiful estate. We are creating a 2 volume set for their Scottish wedding. The first volume is of a photoshoot the couple had around the countryside with the album full of stunning landscapes. The second volume is the actual wedding day. Volume I is covered in a forest green linen to compliment the scenery and Volume II navy. The couples names and the location of where in the world they celebrated was stamped on the cover. We kept the personalisation in the same style for each album for consistency. Each album had a title page in the same style but a different photo that represented the location. The linen covered albums would have to be our most popular! With so many colours available from the four featured here to gorgeous natural earthy tones and bold colours for the adventurous among us! Its hard to know when you are delivered hundreds of photos to even know what album cover material/colour or even style of personalization you want. Thats why we leave it until you see a draft of your album design. So you have no idea which images to include in your album? Not a problem! ... Part of the album design process we will cull your hundreds of images down to the best 200-300 for the album. During proofing you have the opportunity to review and make changes to ensure all your favourites are in the album design. When the story comes together in the page layouts it starts to make sense. We usually have a few options in mind ourselves for the cover and are happy to make recommendations. During the creation of Laura & Aarons album design we presented them with a few options.
