His life was an incredible journey filled with incredible achievements not least, several Antarctic expeditions where amongst other things, Alex had a mountain range named after him. He also received a polar medal from the Queen for his endeavours and word of his exploits can be found in museums across Australia. 01.01.2022 Third time's a charm! I've been to the beautiful Riverstone Estate several times before but the weather has not been kind. It was a touch breezy at Luke and Jackie's wedding but the sun was warm and the view was breathtaking. As I got out of the car, I was greeted by venue host, Tony. The first thing we both said was, 'I know you!' As our cogs began to grind and we searched our memory filing cabinets, it came to me that Tony was the barman at the pub where I, in outlandish ...trousers and on a first date that was fast becoming a funeral pyre inside a wrecked train onboard a plane plummeting earthwards, met my lovely future wife to be. Tony used to close up the pub, invite a select few, pull some pints and we would play pool until the early hours. He's still the same top bloke he always was, generous, easy going and an absolute professional. Another professional is photographer, Chris Garbacz - absolutely guaranteed to put you at ease with his sense of humour and easy going manner - you have to check out his work! As if these guys were not enough, we then had 'Something borrowed' crooning and playing guitar. Do not think of booking live music for your wedding before you check these guys out..fantastic!
