Here is the Qld Gov Website link outlining stage 3 restrictions. Dance floors are NOT permitted during stage 3. 09.01.2022 COVID-19 has had an enormous impact on the wedding industry. I realise its impacted every industry however because Im a wedding industry professional this letter pertains to my experience within Queensland as of today. Many suppliers wont come back from this, many now have day jobs and some will decide to change or move on. For those of us who are working towards building our businesses back up we will need help and understanding.... Over the past few weeks since Queensland has slowly reopened, I have noticed a significant change in my booking enquiries. In particular the interaction from those requesting quotes and availability. Within just the last three or so weeks Ive had people be rude to me, ignore emails requesting more information because their initial email was vague (I do need to know the date & location of your wedding so I can quote) and I had one couple book me, flat out refuse to pay a deposit then cancel me a week later. Please help Queensland wedding suppliers get back on their feet and treat us with the same respect we will afford you. My favourite thing in the world is playing music at weddings and I along with thousands of others suppliers are trying hard to get back to the life we love. 01.01.2022 One day in the not too distant future, this awful time will be over... We will return to our jobs and our lives... We will eat at restaurants, drink at bars and sing along with musicians... We will return to normal and things will be just like they were...... With one difference... For the rest of our lives, every one of us alive today will share something important...we will all share the experience of this pandemic and the affect it had on our lives...the loss of loved ones, the feeling of isolation, the experience of forced social distancing and the stress of financial uncertainty... So when this is over...remember how you feel right now and know that every single person you meet from this day forward shares that same experience...if that isnt enough to bring humanity together then nothing is or ever will be.
