24.01.2022 Has COVID-19 got you confused? Us too. But rest assured we want to help you as much as we can while being compliant with the current laws (which seem to change from day to day). We don't want to add to the huge amount of social media commentary on what you can and can't do, but we feel that we need to make our position very clear. Unfortunately the ABC Brisbane News Facebook Page published a post a few days ago which we believe to have incorrect information. Or information t...hat could be taken out of context. After discussions with Qld Health and our local Council (Moreton Bay), our understanding is that if you are marrying in a park or residence in the Council areas identified as Greater Brisbane, you must adhere to a maximum of 10 people (including the celebrant and couple). If you are marrying in a venue with an approved COVID safe plan, you may have up to 100 people. This also includes receptions. There are huge penalties associated with people doing the wrong thing (not to mention the health risks), so please understand that we have to toe the line on this one. 21.01.2022 Here is the latest (as at 28 August) from the Qld Health website on restrictions. It's still not 100% clear (eg, there is no mention here of public parks) but we're getting closer to having some good black and white guidelines. Of course, it's still open to interpretation and people will interpret it differently.

06.01.2022 UPDATE: these are the current restrictions for our industry. If you have planned an outdoor or home wedding it can only go ahead with 10 people. If this doesn’t suit what you planned for your day, then we suggest getting in touch with your reception venue and moving your ceremony there, as they will have a Covid safe venue and can operate as normal. Not only will this mean your day can go ahead and be just as beautiful, but also that you will be helping keep us vendors in work. Get in touch if you have any concerns. Shelley and I are happy to help and offer any alternative suggestions so you can still have your dream day. Together we can do this
