22.01.2022 There’s a famous saying some of you might be familiar with that goes: If you love somebody, set them free. If they return, they were always yours. If they don't, they never were. This quote perfectly sums up Matt and Natalie’s story of how they met, fell in love and brought them to the point of marriage. Here’s a beautiful moment capturing Natalie and Matt’s elation at the end of their ceremony, finally married after 18 years since their first encounter. ... Yep, it’s that just married feeling! 22.01.2022 Dear 2019, I can’t believe you’re almost finished! Its been a year of ups and downs, but I must say to all my couples whom I married in 2019, THANK YOU. ... I’ve created a story on my profile of wedding highlights from this year and WOW!? It made me reflect what an incredible privilege I’ve had being a part of some big moments in many people’s lives. To 2020, bring it on! Bring on a new year, a new decade, and a new series of exciting and fun filled weddings I cannot wait to be a part of. And tomorrow, I’ll kick off the year with writing my celebrant bucket list to put out to the universe a few wedding ideas I’d love to be a part of. Have a safe and happy new year!

22.01.2022 Wednesday Wedding Wisdom: The Aisle It’s your big moment, you’re walking down the aisle, or you’re the one standing at the top of the aisle watching the love of your life approach you. Chances are your guests are all grinning from ear to ear sharing in your happiness, excited at the prospect of you two about to share your wedding vows But you’re nervous as hell right?!... Here are my top tips at channeling those beginning of the ceremony nerves: 1. Focus on your partner. Lock eyes, smile at each other, feel the love and connect in that moment. It’s such a special moment that passes in an instant so soak it up! 2. Pick a song for the entrance that means something to you. It’ll help you be in that moment and forget about your nerves. I’ll never forget the song Laura and Luke picked for their entrance, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds Into My Arms played by one of their close friends on a piano. I seriously get goose bumps when I think back to that day! 3. Take a few deep breaths, relax and be comforted in knowing that your celebrant has got this, is right by your side, and whose upmost goal is to ensure you enjoy your big day! 21.01.2022 Colleen and Rob’s story began many years ago at the Yarrawonga Ski Club. To this day, both Colleen and Rob can’t believe the fact that they met 3 hours away from home, despite numerous common connections in their lives. Their lives have been interwoven with lots of fun times and laughter, some pretty epic trips to the US (one which included a marriage proposal), and sharing many of life’s milestones together.... This beautiful picture says it all...the happiness and joy of tying the knot in the presence of your friends, family and your children is a pretty amazing feeling. Photo credit: Oakstone Photography

21.01.2022 How cute! Melbourne couple Dave & Christine met at EB games in Swanson Street 9 years ago. They tied the knot and went back to have a wedding photo taken at the same store where they met all those years ago.

20.01.2022 Congratulations Sharna and Mitch! The universe threw a few challenges at you on your wedding day, but you still rocked it with a smile. Enjoy the newlywed bliss! #weddingsbyalia #justmarried #tietheknot #celebrant #weddings #love

13.01.2022 Turns out I’m not the only one who loves a surprise wedding!!

12.01.2022 It’s evident now that the current situation with COVID-19 is affecting not only the wedding industry but our entire world To my couples who are currently facing the tough decision of postponing their wedding, or pressing on but having to make big last minute changes to their wedding day they’ve been planning for many months, I’m here with you every step of the way. And when you finally get to celebrate your wedding, I’ll do my very best to make sure I put in every ounce of... my dedication and energy to make it the best ceremony possible. To my wedding vendor colleagues and fellow celebrants, tough times are ahead for small business but I’ll be with you every step of the way, referring business wherever possible and supporting #communityovercompetition. We’re in this together and I know this will pass and we’ll all be stronger and more resilient. And lastly to my beloved inner west community, I’m here every step of the way. My pledge is to support as many local businesses as possible during this tough time, shopping locally at every possible opportunity be it a glass of wine, a birthday gift or even a bottle of milk, to provide every opportunity to keep your business alive #melbourneinnerwest Image credit @oakstonephotography #weddingsbyalia #celebrant #marriagecelebrant #ceremonies #melbourneweddings

05.01.2022 This image courtesy of @rubyalicerose has been shared a lot in the last 24 hours because it sends such a powerful message. . Love and acceptance is what we need in this world, not hatred and ignorance. . My thoughts are with all the people affected by yesterday’s atrocity.
