25.01.2022 Hey! this is for you! https://bit.ly/giftingweddingstotheterminallyill

24.01.2022 Planning a wedding can take years for many couples and there's been a huge increase in sending Save the Date invitations a year before because let's face it, weddings are expensive for both guests and they need a year to plan and save! For the majority of My Wedding Wish couples though, there's not enough time to send invitations, let alone Save the Dates. We've become experts at pulling together gifted weddings in under 24 hours - but we also pride ourselves on our ability to pull together big white weddings if that's what the couple wants. https://bit.ly/giftingweddingstotheterminallyill #giftedwedding #loveisallthereis #makingdreamscometrue #palliativecare #cancersucks

23.01.2022 Sadly, sometimes we arrange beautiful weddings that just can't go ahead because of the health of the recipient. This is what happened in Victoria three years ago today, when we'd organised Luke, who'd been diagnosed with liver cancer, to marry his love, Dharna. Sadly, the wedding couldn't proceed because Luke was too ill. He died just three days later. Cancer really sucks! https://bit.ly/giftingweddingstotheterminallyill #giftedwedding #livercancer #loveisallthereis #makingdreamscometrue #palliativecare #cancersucks

22.01.2022 The love that surrounds our weddings is palpable and tangible - you can literally feel it and it bonds us as wedding suppliers. CEO, Lynette (a marriage celebrant) will always recommend My Wedding Wish suppliers over non-suppliers because they have big beautiful hearts here's a suppliers pic of Rob and Misty's ceremony from today, 2017 at Maleny Manor. Rob has a very rare chordoma and we're thrilled that he and Misty are doing well If you'd like supplier recommendations f...rom anywhere in Australia, please shoot us a message and we'll give you the names of the our awesome suppliers. https://bit.ly/giftingweddingstotheterminallyill #giftedwedding #loveisallthereis #makingdreamscometrue #palliativecare #cancersucks #volunteersrule

19.01.2022 Jan, diagnosed with Squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix didn't want a fuss, she just wanted to marry her man, Terry, so Wish Leader @HeatherThiele planned a sneaky elopement style wedding for them on the Gold Coast on this day, two years ago. Our couples tell us what sort of wedding they want - from big white affairs to sneaky little ceremonies and they're all beautiful and just perfectly suited to each couple The thing they all have in common is love and family - and really is there anything else that matters? https://bit.ly/giftingweddingstotheterminallyill #giftedwedding #squamouscellcarcinoma #loveisallthereis #makingdreamscometrue #palliativecare #cancersucks

14.01.2022 Did you know the majority of our weddings are now held in hospitals! 11.01.2022 Two years ago today, beautiful Jo got to marry her love, Josh in MWW's biggest gifted wedding to date, with almost 200 guests! It was a real celebration, complete with surprise horse ride, helicopter ride, snake chase and gorgeous vows. What a delightful couple Jo was just so well loved and showed us all what strength, humility, determination and love really look like. https://bit.ly/giftingweddingstotheterminallyill #giftedwedding #squamouscellcarcinoma #loveisallthereis #makingdreamscometrue #palliativecare #cancersucks

11.01.2022 Today we celebrate what would be the 3rd wedding anniversary of Antony and Megan who married in MWW's most extraordinary wedding to date. Here's what happened! We were approached by a young couple who had booked and paid for their dream wedding in NSW, but somewhere along the way decided that marriage really wasn't for them, so they gifted their wedding to us to try to find the perfect couple who would love the opportunity to marry. The date was set for 11.11.17 and we fou...nd Antony and Megan just one week beforehand and offered the wedding to them! Antony had been diagnosed with bowel cancer and the couple were thrilled to be able have a full blown white wedding - but they were certainly under the pump! In just 7 days, they organised family from all over Australia to come and celebrate their love! It was nothing short of amazing. The original couple had paid $15,000, and the venue @OatlandsHouse donated the remaining $8,000 to make this dream wedding a reality. People are amazing! Antony passed on in August 2018 - an adored husband and father Read more about the wedding here https://www.myweddingwish.org/project/megan-antonys-wedding/ #giftedwedding #bowelcancer #loveisallthereis #makingdreamscometrue #palliativecare #cancersucks #generous

09.01.2022 Typically, June is the least popular month to marry in Australia. But, terminal illness doesn't discriminate, so My Wedding Wish arranges weddings big and small wherever they need to be, in whatever month they need to be in! https://bit.ly/giftingweddingstotheterminallyill #giftedwedding #loveisallthereis #makingdreamscometrue #palliativecare #cancersucks

08.01.2022 We'd gone all out planning an amazing wedding on a beautiful boat in Harvey Bay for Juanita and John who dreamed of marrying on Valentines Day three years ago. Juanita was diagnosed with mouth and tongue cancer and she was so excited to be marrying her love - her prognosis was a year life expectancy but sadly she went downhill fast and our Brisbane crew had to scramble to hold a small commitment ceremony on 2nd January 2017 as their paperwork wasn't in order for a legal ceremony. The tears flowed and whilst not legally binding, Juanita and John were thrilled with their ceremony/ Love is really all there is. Juanita didn't have the year she was expecting, and died just three days later. https://bit.ly/giftingweddingstotheterminallyill #giftedwedding #loveisallthereis #makingdreamscometrue #palliativecare #cancersucks

04.01.2022 In the last little while, we've had two sneaky weddings in the Toowoomba region where our fantastic MWW team of suppliers have made dreams come true. No fuss. No fanfare. Just love. Thank you for all you do! We our suppliers! #volunteersrule #palliativecare #makingdreamscometrue #giftingweddings https://bit.ly/giftingweddingstotheterminallyill

04.01.2022 The average age across Australia for first time couples to marry is 28 and 29 years. The same goes for our My Wedding Wish couples - they're young and fac...ing such a terrifying future. We love giving them some joy, hope and love in otherwise joyless and hopeless times. https://bit.ly/giftingweddingstotheterminallyill #giftedwedding #loveisallthereis #makingdreamscometrue #palliativecare #cancersucks

02.01.2022 Look at how much Rene and Megan adore each other. We love this picture because it really captures everything we're about. Helping the terminally ill marry with dignity and bringing family and community together in celebration of the only thing that really matters: Love. Rene, diagnosed with gastrointestinal cancer, wanted so very much to marry his lady, and our Toowoomba team of amazing suppliers did not disappoint when they pulled together the most amazing loved-up w...edding that the couple could never have afforded because of mounting medical bills. What an amazing ceremony it was! Being married was so important to Rene and Megan Rene lost his battle a little over a month later, and our thoughts are focussed on the gorgeousness of their perfect day together. Til death do us part. https://bit.ly/giftingweddingstotheterminallyill #giftedwedding #loveisallthereis #makingdreamscometrue #palliativecare #cancersucks

01.01.2022 A huge happy 2nd anniversary to Marty and Anita - one of our gorgeous couples who are both a ball of love and laughter. Marty, diagnosed with glioma (brain tumour) really wanted to marry his gal who was 8.5 months pregnant at the time! The Gold Coast MWW crew pulled together one of the prettiest ceremonies we've had to date. The couple and their loved ones couldn't have been happier! They're love story is pretty gorgeous and you can read about it here: https://www.mywedd...ingwish.org/project/marty-anita/ PS. Beautiful baby Noah was born just one week later - MWW's first baby #giftedwedding #glioma #loveisallthereis #makingdreamscometrue #palliativecare #cancersucks
