25.01.2022 - Wedge Island Protection Association hosted its Annual Fundraising Auction on Sunday 27 September 2020. This day happened to fall on local Cray Fisherman Stevie Dawe’s birthday, in true Wedge spirit the community sang Happy Birthday to Stevie and then he was given the privilege of drawing the lucky winner of this fabulous raffle, you wouldn’t believe what happened next...... The winner was announced... Red C 27 - Steve & Helen Dawe his own birthday ticket!! Helen & Steve Dawe were thrilled to be the lucky winners of this fabulous Gourmet Grocery Hamper, kindly donated by Meers IGA Jurien Bay IGA.

19.01.2022 DEMERSAL FISHING BAN A friendly reminder the Demersal Fishing Ban is now in effect. CLOSED SEASON 15 October 15 December (inclusive)... The take or landing of demersal finfish is prohibited within the West Coast Bioregion during this period. The closure is aimed at protecting all demersal species caught in the West Coast Bioregion whether they are caught frequently or only occasionally.
