23.01.2022 If you have exposed wires, please get them fixed. Water entered into this "hose proof" switch via the 2 breaks in the conduit (one is just beside the switch). End result melted wiring and no hot water, as this was the hot water circuit. Could of been a lot worse

18.01.2022 Fixing a coffee machine this morning. Nothing like the smell of coffee, yum!
18.01.2022 Replaced a ceiling fan today. I should of known this was going to be "one of those jobs" as soon as I saw the wood screw holding the top cowling. The mounting was a piece of timber straddling two joists in the ceiling. The bearer beside the timber stopped it turning. When it wobbles, just wrap the rod with cardboard and tape, that will do it (sarcasm). I lifted 6 roof tiles and cut out a wooden baton to gain access to install a proper support for a new fan.

16.01.2022 Replaced 3 existing over island bench light fittings for these little numbers. Settled on the exact height after consultation with customer. Looks great
15.01.2022 Worked on an old piece of textile machinery, as it was tripping circuit breaker and shooting sparks. Found heating element locating screw had become loose allowing element's live terminal to short out. Also found a shaft bearing was stuffed. Replaced both shaft bearings and secured element in placed. Tested and it ran like clock work.
13.01.2022 Customer tried to change bulbs in fan light and unscrewed light fitting from fan. Had to rewire light cables and reinstalled light fitting.
12.01.2022 My old school pin clipping compared to new school. It's neater, straighter and good for more than a lifetime. Those plastic cable clips get brittle with age and break
07.01.2022 Wiring a shed. Installed new mains cables, switch board, meter box and sub-mains (under ground) to house. Coordinated Ergon to reposition "point of attachment" for their power cable from the street, from house to front of shed. Installed new "Main Earth" as well.
