19.01.2022 Here we go again .... allergy testing!! . Last year during lockdown I spent every Friday morning for 16 weeks going to have injections to help with severe hay fever which I have experienced since moving to Tassie! . After going through a similar process we thought we had it figured out - basically most trees and grasses here in Tassie are not my friends ... . Thought all was going quite well up until 1st November and then it was like someone flicked a switch!! Itchy, red and watery eyes, constant runny nose, constant sneezing, swollen face, decongestion, couldn’t breath at night, not sleeping, miserable, constantly feeling like I was in a fog and this was while taking antihistamines, nasal sprays and eye drops! Nothing was working!! . It was worse than I’d had in previous years, after going through the round of injections . To make matters worse, couldn’t get back in to see the specialist as these were all symptoms of COVID so had to do a phone consult for her to give me a cocktail of antihistamines, eye drops and nasal sprays that when all used together were a miracle Back to normal, but still taking all 3 things to be able to function!! . Anyway, back again to do more testing today and try and figure out which grasses in particular are my arch nemesis!! . We also did some testing on food products that I use in the kitchen all the time but they came back negative so that’s good . Now to try and find the right cocktail for them to mix for another round of injections .
