12.01.2022 I thought I’d take the time to introduce myself this morning as some new people have come on this journey. My names Clare, I’m 32 years old, moved back to Brisbane just over 2 years ago to be closer to family and friends, recently got engaged to my partner Josh, we love our veggie patch and one day want a cavoodle. I burn easily with my pale skin and the place I feel happiest is at the beach- particularly Caloundra where I holidayed throughout my life. Oh and my food weakness...es are hot chips and icecream! My nickname since born was Bella given to me by my Dad as, despite my pointy head he thought I was beautiful so this page was always going to be a journey of finding myself but also reminding others to look at finding beauty in every day no matter how small. I was often told I was very busy and I’d feel guilty about this and like I didn’t have enough in the tank to give to others let alone myself! So this was a journey about being kinder to myself and slowing down first and foremost which is a lesson I think is ongoing for us all and I certainly don’t get it right all the time! Going back to my happy place at the beach helps me to slow down, reconnect and relax the most BUT I could never stay at the beach long as I’d leave looking like a lobster! I’d tried sunscreen, other umbrellas, tents and all were too tricky, clunky, would blow away or not offer good sun protection. So I spent close to a year creating an umbrella that I loved that I knew had good UPF protection and wouldn’t blow down the beach and have since shared that, along with some happiness and life lessons (good and bad) on my everyday journey to finding beauty in the hopes that it helps others because after all life is short and we want to enjoy it not stress and feel guilty over it! Xx

This wasn’t a part of the initial design and, despite digging a deep hole and having four men secure the umbrella, it still blew down the beach! 08.01.2022 A beautiful lady asked about the fabric in the Bella umbrella yesterday. It’s very thick and almost looks like canvas but it a cotton/ polyester blend specifically made to provide the highest quality UPF50+ sun protection whilst also ensuring that the fabric is as environmentally friendly as possible with the cotton being ethically sourced and the polyester being made of recycled water bottles.
