17.01.2022 I was recently featured on the The Good Problem Podcast with Leigh Mathews talking about doing good and giving up power. I think this is one of my favourite podcasts that I've ever done. When doing good it's rare to ever question what we do, and why we do it. In this discussion, we talk about being most effective by understanding where you fit into the big picture, and often, about giving up your own power. Whether it's that board seat, the leadership of a foreign organisatio...n, or simply not asking that question first at the end of a conference, as a man. You can check it out on Apple Podcasts here (https://apple.co/38Bp0bJ) or Google Podcasts here (https://bit.ly/3lVEbzt). #podcast #leadership #charity #socialenterprise

14.01.2022 I'm humbled to be amongst some incredible people making the world a better place, nominated for the Impact 25 Awards. It's going to be very hard to pick from this list, but, I would hugely appreciate your vote through the link in the first comment. Do you have 2 min to chuck in a vote for our work at Umbo? Hint: thanks to the Yeoh surname, right down the bottom. ... #socialenterprise #socialimpact #disability

13.01.2022 It's Social Enterprise Day! A time of celebration, but also a time of reflection. One of the key themes this year is diversity. For me, diversity is more than just gender, or cultural diversity. It's more than just a tick box. True diversity allows us to ensure representation of community, and marginalised groups.... Thanks to Pro Bono Australia for publishing my thoughts here. #socialenterprise #socialchange #socialimpact #diversity https://probonoaustralia.com.au//why-we-cannot-wait-for-t/

13.01.2022 A day late, but an important day of the year for all of us to observe!

07.01.2022 At Umbo, we have no desire to be the "market leader" in solving social problems. We will never say that lack of access to health services in rural communities is the biggest problem out there. We just want to be part of the solution to an obvious problem. I spoke with Talking HealthTech bout how we need to look past our own egos and focus instead on the problem we're trying to solve. 01.01.2022 Happy NAIDOC week! Here's a nice exercise to do to remind ourselves on whose land we are on. #AlwaysWasAlwaysWillBe
