25.01.2022 The AGM scheduled to be held this Wednesday has been postponed under instruction from Dogs SA due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak. The Festival Of Dogs to be held this Sunday, where the club was conducting a breed information stand, has also been postponed. Stay safe everyone.

Due to the committee's decision not to award Perpetual Trophies this year due to the cancellation of most events due to COVID it will be a very short meeting. Trophies will still be awarded if your dog obtained a title this year club, 01/10/19 - 30/09/20. We are always looking for new faces and fresh ideas so even if you do not participate in any formal discipline with your ...dog, we would love you to join our club. Hyperuricosuria (HUU) Hyperuricosuria is an inherited disorder characterized by elevated levels of uric acid in the urine that can lead to the formation of bladder/kidney stones. Spinal Dysraphism (SD) Spinal dysraphism (SD) in Weimaraner dogs is a genetic disorder present at birth that results from faulty embryonic development, leading to an abnormal gait as well as weakness and lack of coordination in the rear legs. Hip dysplasia (HD) is an abnormal development or growth of the hip joint, usually affecting both sides. It is caused by varying degrees of looseness of surrounding tissues, instability, malformation of the ball and socket joint, and osteoarthritis. Elbow dysplasia (ED) is an inherited condition that can occur in most dog breeds but is most commonly seen in large to giant breed dogs.
