16.01.2022 The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) 2016 Personal Safety Survey indicates that since the age of 15: - 1 in 6 Women (1.6 million) have experienced physical or sexual violence by a current or previous partner - 1 in 4 Women (2.2. million) have experienced emotional abuse by a current or previous partner - 1 in 5 Women (1.7 million) have experienced sexual violence... Let's put the elimination of violence against women firmly on the agenda in our community!

Globally, testicular cancer is the most common cancer among men aged 15-39 years of age. If you would like to participate, you can visit the Weipa Community Centre, select a Gift Tag from our Christmas Tree, purchase an appropriate gift then return with your gift to be placed under the tree. Alternatively if you would like to donate non-perishable Food Items for the Hampers for Carers' these items can be placed in the basket in the Community Centre.
