21.01.2022 A stranger just came and punched in a for sale sign in the front of our shop this morning. I can’t believe this part of the Weir family journey is almost over. Change is an inevitable part of life which we all have to accept but I can’t get past the sad feelings this moment brings up. 5 generations of Weir’s playing on this parcel of land will end in the not too distant future. Just trying to soak it up, and enjoy being here until the bulldozers arrive to build another unit complex.

16.01.2022 I was stoked when @peiterarndt sent me this picture. Not because it’s an amazing turn, (because it’s not, the WSL don’t even score cutbacks) but because it really captures why this is my favourite short board at the moment. This is Braden’s 5’6 Twin Fish which he has only ridden twice, so I think it’s technically mine now since I’ve had way more surfs on it. I’m at the stage now that I don’t want to jump up and down to generate speed. I just want to wait for the section, put the board in the right spot on the wave and let the design do the work. This board does all that so well. It carries speed through turns and flat sections like you’ve been towed in and let’s you do almost anything you like. It’s my rally car, I don’t think Braden’s getting this one back! Photo @peiterarndt

01.01.2022 Onboard the 7’10 Big Fish Twin at ‘The Sandbags’ Cotton Tree. This board makes tiny waves so much fun, it just glides through all the flat sections and you can still throw it around into a few turns.
